COE for Bike

I just got my COE letter mailed to me from LTA. I would like to ask on the COe price.

 

Under

 

Quota Premium/Prevailing Quota Premium : $4,001.00

Actual Quota Premium/PQP Paid : $4,0001.00

 

Does this means that my COE cost $4,0001.00?

Becos i was quote $4,5001.00 from the shop which i got my bike from. Thanks in advanced guys!

What's the contractual agreement with the shop on Coe rebate?

 

These shops are making you guys like suckers by submitting such ridiculously high bids, and it's not the government that cause Coe to be high.

I bought my bike on the 5th may and was quote $16,300 otr with coe of $4,501.

 

10th may, i went down to collect my bike. I even enquires with the staff regarding my coe whether it was based on $4,501 or $4,001. Since the bid for 7th may for motorcycle decrease by $500.

 

He insisted that mine was based on $4,501. He further said that their shop have coe. As such, when i bought my bike on the 5th May, they immediately registered it for me.

 

Yesterday, LTA letter came stating that my coe is $4,001. I feel cheated.

I don't want to mention yet which bike shop. I'm finding a day where i will go down to the shop and clarify.

It's because they kiasu bid damn high then got the expensive COE and need to offload. Then they see you sign agreement agree to the $4501 price then just give you. Otherwise have to bid again and not guaranteed you will get the COE, no guarantee the price won't shoot up further also. Its up to you whether you want to see it in a good way or a bad way.
