Anyone tried using an oil breather on their maxi?

How does it work? Or does it work?

Just installed an Oil Breather which came off a Silverwing 600.

The owner didn't want it so he gave it to me .... FREE! :thumb:

I got it installed with a few mounting modification.

Now I'll have to see if it really works. :cheeky:

Will this decrease my oil pressure?

tis i not too sure but some SW owners commented dat the temp is kept at a lower range... ideal for long distance travel... i was at taiwan last week n bought 1 back but dunno can fit our bike anot... cos taiwan there do not hav Forza... but they say can fit honda... tml i go try...

I hope it fits so we can share info.

Took the maxi to office yesterday. The temp was below the half mark

which was good because it was always above even on short rides.

Also checked for leaks in the oil plug and the lines. None so far.

juz done mine today n workin well... tml i'll try a long distance ride to see if there is any diff... hehe... will update some pics tml... i changed my mirrors to a CBR929 mirrors also...

I took a long ride to the north (500 kms. round trip) and finally put my oil

breather to a good test.

Results were very good. No leaks. No loss of oil pressure. But more important the engine temp was much lower.

I get mixed feedback on oil breathers but I can surely say that they work.

Besides, they look really cool on my forza. Hahahaha...

Hahahaha... I know what you mean.

Btw, have you heard about the K-MOD procedure for our forza?

It has something to do with using only 3 flyballs instead of all 6.

What's your opinion on it?

Finally did the K-Mod on my forza.

Took off the black flyballs and just kept the beige ones.

First impression? Smooth take-off. Minimal vibration. Lots of torque.

Quick acceleration. It really improved the performance.

Tomorrow, I'll take it for a very long ride at high speed.

We'll see if there's an improvement too.

Aargh! My water pump started to leak after my long ride. My temp went

to the roof. Good thing there was a gas station nearby. After a quick fill,

I was able to limp back home.

Bought the water pump repair kit monday and brought the scoot to the

shop yesterday. Got a call lunch time today that the scoot was ok already.

Cost of parts and labor: US$150

Really? And I thought mine was already expensive.

Btw, I removed the oil breather. I had a difficult time checking my oil level.

Wow that's creepy ha? It's like our bikes are twins. Hahahaha

How's the forza community there? Is it growing?

We have a new owner of a black forza with ABS but two other forza's

are for sale. One owner is migrating to Canada and the other is upgrading

to a TMax.

The hottest selling maxis here are the Kymco Xciting 250cc.

The dealer brought in 8 units and they were sold out in a week.

A buddy of mine sold his Super4 to get one.
