i had been using AVG so far ok with me

but i realise now hardly got virus only got those adware and spyware

My thumbs up goes to AVG.

 

Small and lightweight -- doesn't slow down my comp as much as those other krap $$$ offerings.

 

Best of all, they have a "free" version as well.

avast, but feels its kinda hardcore and not so user friendly nor fanciful like avg..works well for me, use avg anti spyware ony..

If u want the max protection, use 4 of this free software together.

 

1. Avast Antivirus Home Edition

2. Zonealarm Firewall

3. Ad-Aware 2007

4. Spybot Search and Destroy

 

Once u have all 4, ur basic line of security is done up. It will protect u from most of those nasty stuff on the internet. There's no such thing as 100% protection in this world nowadays.
