Very excited today..got an idea for my bike...

A BIG SINGLE SEATER COWLING!!!!

No la.. if u look carefully, its called FASTBAG. Its a luggage bag for bike that u can use on ur pillion seat. quite nice.. I like.. Thinking of buyin.. no need saddles, tank or back pack when touring alr... keke...

Can go google it if u wan for those C14s, u got enough box alr...

French, Yen, upz ur bike... I'm gonna steal the cubby holder and the nice garmin antenna cum holders... .wahaha....

:cheeky:

to be honest, the stuff on your bike that caught my eyes was the brock full system not the fastbag.

do u mind pm me the price? i think i know where u got it from...:thumb:

oh, thats fine, cause I have the long arm already.

I see u have your pwr cable ziptied to your brake cables also.

When u dont have the gps attached, do u secure the loose end?

When the GPS not in use I'll just secure the loose with another cable tie.

Used to hv zumo on my ride, is this from garmin?

I'm now hunting for another gps, maybe next IT show I'll grab 1.

Oh that a Garmin Street pilot 2610 which had been discontinued by Garmin. But this is a trusty set that just refuse to give up. It just goes on and on. One thing though it needs to be attached to the power supply all the time.

my garmin gets warm in direct sunlight after 2hrs or so.

do u mean the heat from the bike?

the long arm keeps the gps abt 15cm off the stem, so I guess it wont be affected much.

comes with a cradle, just snap off to remove gps.

looks neater than the project d one but cost more.

Well I only took the unit off when I'm resting for the night other than that it's on the bike all the time. Cos nobody's interested in my old beat up unit.... Was considering the project d one initially. But decided to go for RAM mount as it had proven to me for many years.

Warm?......hmmmm...our feel to warmth may differs. Mine was more than warmth because you could feel the heat around the back of the garmin near to the power connection.

I used to fix it on my handle bar area. I stopped because i hated to carry the cradle plus gps around. Not really light, you know and it take up storage place in the bike too.

Whenever i need to use or remove. Very troublesome to fix the cradle onto the bike. Tighten etc etc.

Now i just bring garmin along. Snap on and off. One easy motion.

Hahah..I just plain lazy.

yea yea I what u mean.

mines also snap on snap off with the ramount.

im not going to walk ard with the long arm n cradle in my pocket! :p

yea I think so too, and once u decide to change bikes and need to sell the mounts, its easily compatible with other bikes.

ZUmos 660 is using the lastest NUVI series interface software. You can catch of the glimpse of it by looking for people who are using the latest Nuvi model

Zumos 550 uses an unique software of its own class. Its much more simpler looking on it. It is very useful on motorbikes.

Nevertheless you can ask frenchbiker for advice as he is using Zumos 660. ^_^

The zumo 660 looks exactly like the nuvi series felt it and I don't like the feel.... I would rather go for the zumo 550 for the ruggedness. Since the zumo 660 had already appeared in the market how come the zumo 550 is still so ex...

FB is using the zumo 660 do check with him.

i have taken vacation leave on 21st and 22nd december already. As its near holidaying month, i purposely chose to move out on sunday and come back on weekdays to avoid massive jam ah. I have been cameron highlands two times and lodged at country lodge because its less crowded and charged cheaper rate.

My schedule for that week is as followed

18- Off

19- Work

20- Off - Cameron

21- VL - Cameron

22- VL - Cameron

Therefore i will be moving on 20th early early morning. Maybe 4-5am ba. Probably took 4-5 hours to get there. Probably around 10am.

I have got a crazy idea again...... Feel like going Gua Musang to play the road again. Plus scenery looking!

Do not book the rooms direct use an agent, I have a good one and it saved me 30% from country lodge quote, also cheaper rates that what Alan quoted us when we went ourselves in August.

Yes, I have it and I am super happy, I take it with me around the world, I got mine from the UK so it was preloaded with all Europe maps, then i bought from Garmin site the South East Asia one, it covers Singapore, Malaysia West and East, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia (except Sumatra) Hong Kong and Macao.

The Nuvi interface is nice, but I like the details from Ohayo Zumo 500. The best feature on the 660, unfortunately cannot be used here, is the 3D maps, in Europe it is all calibrated it is really amazing for navigation.

In Singapore, I heard that they will do 3D calibration sometimes next year, so now on 3D maps, all buildings are flat.

Also with the car mount, when you plug it the GPS into it, it automatically recognizes the car and configure the unit for car navigation.

Nonetheless, it is a really good GPS unit, expensive, but top quality and graphic definition.

If you travel out of Asia, a bunch of tips and extras to upload for tours and trips from the zumo 660 US forum.

haha

anyway i read from wikipedia, i tink 13.2 : 1 is still too rich.

it says 14.7: 1 is the optimum ratio. i `m a bit mixed up here

Wilkipedia is a reliable source for GTR info?? Come on man you know better!

Try to read US and European forums and you will have reliable info. 13.2 is the optimum AFR for the concours and tweak it down to 13 for 80% throttle.

For that you need an AT 200 Auto tune hooked up to the PC5, i just installed mine, still running the map for proper auto tune then the bike will be running at its best at all time.

on the safe side its always better to be rich than lean.

with the weather on our side, under heavy loads, crap fuel, pinging can happen.
