HI thanks for asking bro, i have not switch fuel yet but have increase the rpm to around 1100, and need to warm up longer, so far so good

Oh that was the top gasket. Seems this is a generic problem with the ZZRs and some GTRs before 09. Where out of no where it will just leak.

 

mine was one of those tt leaked..

but i got it fixed

 

i changed a coolant cap, the mech said my rubber is degraded..

so time to change... only 35 bucks

hope it solved the problem..

 

anyway i had a blast just now..

speed started to crawl at 260 kmph..

nothing i could do to get it higher...

any tips guys??

 

i used to be able to get it up to 270 kmph still with some oommmpph to go..

now i just full throttle and it stuck at 260kmph..

 

note: was carrying pillion today as opposed to 2.5 yrs ago 270kmph solo..

Hi bro YZF_R1 i will try to switch fuel this few weeks as my area only has shell. so far so good but occasionally engine will still die off

 

I don't believe in paying Shell by pumping V power. Had been using 98 since day 1 and most of the time uses Esso 97. So far after adjusting the to 1100 rpm didn't encounter any problem.

been riding it almost 3 yrs and more than 75k, enjoying every single time i`m on the bike..

 

Im running in e bike now n at present had clocked bout 350km.. Enjoying every bits of it.. Need to ask e brudders here what r e recommended mileage for 1st oil change, 2nd n subsequent coz from e manual its stated 1st 1000km then 12000km which i feel like not rite like dat..

For me I did my first oil change and gear oil change at 500km. Then the next change at 1000km. I change to mineral oil during this both changes.

 

Susequently I changed it at every 5000km or 3 months whichever comes first. I had shorter change interval due to our riding pattern in Singapore lots of stop and go situation, as it will break down the engine oil at a much faster rate compared to those countries the has long endless roads.

 

This is just my personal opinion.

For me, first at 500 then 1000 follow by a last one at 2000. All mineral oil. After which is about 4000 per oil change. Gear oil also changed during each interval.

im have been getting the same stalling issue past 2 weeks or so. every morning, i will warm up the bike. before i move off, i will clutch in, and rev slightly hard, and release throttle. the engine will surely stall. however, once it stalls and i re-ignite the engine and do it again, the problem seems to have worn off. standard issue. stall once before moving off, and then its ok.

 

my rpm is idling just below 1. probably .8 there. and I pump Esso F1 every friday night. kinda frustrating, and i don't really know which shop is trustworthy enough to have it looked at. :(

i have the same problem too,that is idle just below 1.but after adjust idle to about 1.5,it seems ok.no more stall.

Read back several pages you will have solved the problem.....

With the advice from u bros I have switch fuel yesterday but my area only has SPC and I pump 98. Definitely will pump a few more times and monitor the engine stall issue :) will update u all soon

my stalling problem just went away. i did not do anything, just warm up a bit longer nowadays. i still pump GP Esso F-1.
