Dear All GTR Concours riders,

My brother just brought his GTR from Loois motor, and this best friends' GTR will be arriving on June. I am currently riding a 2007 FJR1300, I noticed that the heat from the GTR is far more higher than my FJR, just to ask whether is there any solution for the heat. Thanks for any info!

Welcome to the GTR community, not much you can do, there are coils you can get from the US to direct the heat out of your legs, but it is really ugly and I don't think they are that effective.

This is a tourer, so in Singapore traffic, yes it is hot. As soon as you ride on NS Hwy in Malaysia, the heat is gone.

Finally, tell your Brother and his friend that we have created a Kawa 1400 group.

check it out at http://www.kawa1400.blogspot.com for more info.

Just stay off city riding. The GTR's meant for the highway where there's endless roads.

Hi Guys, just wondering if anyone can advise me on this. I am currently riding a ST11 which COE going to expire, and I am in dilemma whether to get a FJR13 or GTR14. Is the GTR 1st gear short or tall, short meaning high speed low rpm (can go to 60KPH without having to rev engine too high rpm). I tried FJR13 but not comfortable with the 1st gear as it has to high rev and still achieve low speed. Appreciate if any brothers can advise me on this. Cheers

checked out WhatBike mag yesterday and saw the specs of the GTR.

180hp!!

Is this the same model u guys ride here in Spore?

GTR has fantastic torque and speed at low RPM, i have pushed it to 100Km/h in first gear, but you are already way past 60km/h after 3500rpm

Ours is 156 HP, never heard of 180HP, but with after market exhaust, filter and PCV some GTR in the US have gained 16hp, that would make it +170HP...

I believe that figure is engine HP, not RWHP.

ZX14 is rated 199hp, with ram air. Measured at the wheel is around 160-170.

i didnt think it had 180hp from what the mag stated, maybe the euro models are derestricted?

180hp should be what NEO said...

On wheel is totally different...

i usually take what mag says as a reference only...

and most Mag usually bias towards a certain make of bikes which makes the content not very reliable... haha... that's what i feel...

Thanks bro.... From my experience with FJR13, I dun think it can push to 100kph on the first gear. Kawasaki is the one for me... :)

I read that its counter productive on the GTR.

When I read all the Concours 14 guys that did it in the US, they all say it is greatly productive...interesting...
