PSB approved helmets are D-Ring as far as I know. These are the only ones approved for the schools.

Anything else is at your own risk. But off the record, our law is fair. What they want is really to ensure that we wear helmets that protect us, not fashion crap that doesn't. They don't bug riders who wear quality helmets with QR, but will bug those who wear skull caps, and non-motorcycle helmets (construction helmets, or those cheap thin flimsy ones we see on sale in Thailand for example - no offense to Thailand - they have good helmets there too, but I think you know what I'm talking about).

Why rush? It's the journey, not the destination ... :shades:

Only D ring is allow for use in Singapore, as such only those will have the approval sticker. All other system is not approved. I'm using clip system for the convenience but mine is metal clip thus should be better than plastic.

If you look around in this forum, there's actually quite a few threads on helmets, if PSB approved helmets are safer than DOT or SNELL approved helmets. No doubt PSB approved helmets are the ones legal in Singapore, but there are cases whereby in the event of an accident, a PSB approved helmet actually split into 2, which caused riders to doubt the safeness of PSB approved helmets.

Regarding to insurance claim, there was another thread on it as well, 1 rider actually manage to do a claim as it was clearly the other party's fault, so insurance claim base on PSB apprroved helmets do really need to be judge base on case by case scenarios.

Thanks you for all of you willing to share the info & experience about this "quick release" (clip system).

I see, so that is a reason why most of the helmet does not having the clip system.
