Basic parking rules to observe when parking at coupon/season parking place:

 

* Not to park without valid coupons

* Not to park without a valid season parking ticket

* Not to park exceeding the parking time of coupons displayed

* Not to park against double yellow lines or in reserved parking lots etc.

Prevention of Smoke Emission From Motorcycles Causes of white smoke :

 

* Poor maintenance

* Poor engine tuning

* Use of excessive 2-T oil

* Use of low grade 2-T oil

 

Effects of white smoke on road users :

 

* Harmful to health

* Unpleasant and irritating

* Obstructs views of motorists

 

Motorcycles emitting white smoke will :

 

* Have difficulty in starting, premature ignition and loss of power due to oil and carbon deposits in the engine

* Consume more fuel

 

Prevention of smoke pollution from motorcycles :

* Tune engine regularly

* Check 2-T oil auto mixer setting

* Add only manufacturer's recommended amount of 2-T oil

* Use good grade 2-T oil

* Carry out regular servicing and maintenance

 

DON'T

 

* Remain at low gear unnecessarily

* Rev your engine unnecessarily

 

Penalties for emitting smoke :

 

Compound fine not exceeding S$150 for owner/rider of the vehicle emitting excessive smoke

anyone knows how to appeal for offence of parking on double yellow line?? just park there and then go buy food only come back got a parking fine.. not by the HDB but by the sembcorp.. anyone experience before?? any idea ??

If they found out u didnt tear the coupons, u get fine for about $200... My dad's car got summon before n didnt tear the coupons n got fine...

Just got fine $70 for having too much white smoke. How to appeal against this?
