Kawasaki Ninja ZX10-R Riders

Hi fellow Kawasaki Ninja ZX10-R riders,

I noticed there aren't any Ninja ZX10-R groups in the forum (or I might have somehow missed it) and hence, I've decided to open one. However, the success or failure in maintaining this group depends largely on whether there are keen and passionate riders in joining it. Do comment if you're interested (or direct me to an existing group).

Cheers!

Hey bro, never ridden zx14 b4 hence can't comment much on it. However, ZX10-R's posture when compared to other sportbikes (i.e CBR 600/GSX1000R) is much more comfortable. But still, it's a sportbike we're talking about. A more leaning posture compared to sport tourers is inevitable. On the first day, I had trouble adapting to the posture as i've stopped riding sportbikes for quite some time. However subsequently after a few rides, i'd pretty much accustomed to it. I'd also long forgotten about the HEAT generated from sportbikes.

Previously on ma RVF while riding in hot days/traffic jams, the mainframe was emitting heat but still bearable and i could wear berms/shorts (despite it being not advisable). During the night, it wasn't much of an issue. Contrary to the ZX10-R, we're looking at an average engine temp. of 80-100 degree celsius (even in the cold night, yes, EVEN IN THE NIGHT). Sportbikes are built to track/moving most of the time. When u're in a traffic jam/a hot sunny day or even stopping frequently between traffic lights, the temperature can shoot up instantly (i'm still talking bout riding in the night). Berms/shorts are a definite NONO (for me at least) as the heat from the mainframe can cause some pain/burns.

FC wise, we're looking at about 14-17km/litre. This conclusion is based on riding on roads with OCCASSIONAL high revs but mainly normal riding (changing gears at about 3+/4k rpms). But before making any haste decisions, u must know that Kawasaki's parts are difficult to find in Singapore hence, waiting time is generally longer than Hondas, Suzukis and Yamahas. It goes the same for BMWs/Ducatis (to what i'd heard). Hope these informations have helped you in some way or another.

It's been close to a month now and still no one is interested? Or is there a ZX10-R group currently out there which I am not aware of? Can any ZX10-R kind souls advise me?
