ummmm no need to close throttle, juz turn it at least a quater turn in split seconds @ 8k rpm, and voila upz u go.

HOWEVER!!! i strongly recommend that u try learn & play with gear 1 power wheelie if u never play before high speed wheelie, gear 2 can goes all the way til 220km/hr on 1 wheel. ITS FREAKING DANGEROUS! 1 small hump/pot hole = :goodluck:

Please understand that newer bike no doubt stronger n faster, but their ECU Limit cut is also more strict, For honda bikes, temperature will affect the overall power give by ECU reduce in certain %. Honda's with their auto enrichening ECU's that go super rich as the engine temp climbs

my 04 cbr1000rr if i am not wrong when the temperature hits:

168-172 degrees is a window

173-178 is a window

179-184 is a window

185-194 is a window

195-205 is a window

206-212 is a window

213-218 is a window

& with the additional Air goes in, it will bring down around 5% of the engine power each time.

*Note: the temp window is for Engine, not for the radiator given out by the meter dash board, however if u where to estimate it, i will say the first window begins @ 94 Degree on tach meter, and every around 3 degree is a window.

i still does not have info for the window regarding cbr1000rr 08, but based on wat i know and feel, if i am not wrong 91 Degree is the 1st window...

as for the ABS, hmmmmm i dun even know if 09 is coming out with the new V4 1000cc bikes anot. however 09 so far confirm that the CBR600 has the ABS (non-optional) :thumb:

u might think that hey sport bikes with ABS sucks! True i agree too but ask urself how well can u brake?

Honda plans to intergrate its ABS to all its bike no matter of wat cc with the ABS system in 2010.

Haha, I have my fair share of fun when I was riding my K5 600. But after one buang, abit scare to play wheelie after that. Just want to know how hard it is cause I manage to do 2nd gear power wheelie on the K5 600 but damn hard as it is not as powerful as a 1000cc. But just for my info only lah. Now both wheels strictly stick on the ground as it should.

As for the ABS, I do understand your point on how well can you brake. Technology supposed to assist us in a way. Unless it comes standard, I might not consider it as it just a added cost anyway.

Ride safe! :thumb:

Well if u planning to master the braking skills, i recommend u remove the ABS. cause with the assistance of technology, rider/driver become a mere idiots stepping on pedals. so not much of skill to talk about :thumb:

600cc to play wheelie is super hard already le. somemore u can do on a gear 2? :thumb: well about the 1000cc fred not, cause its way to raw!

vrooooom, another round, never slow down

Knock'em down in .01 seconds

Let's leave our mark here and disappear to the next group

The loser's left crawling on the ground in a cloud of dust

The wannabes are all talk, They just get in the way so let's ignore'em

We takes off, beyond the street

Only den they'll know!

Actually it quite easy to do 1st gear power wheelie and 2nd gear clutch wheelie on a 600cc. Plus the K5 600 is not that powerful, thus you can really open throttle all the way. The 2nd gear power is by sheer luck. I see gixxer forum say can, so I try lor. Rev till 10k and close/open plus lots of bouch/pull/lean back to achieve it. It been ages since my last pop. Balls not as big as last time liao. Beside not so good at it to start of it. Dun think I will try on the cbr...

Anyway I am more impressed by it handling. Just to check, is it nervous when traveling at high speed? I ridden gsxr and I find during high speed/corner, it is very stable. However I tried my friend's R6, especially the new model. It just doesn't give me the confidence. The front is shaking plus the the seating makes me feel like I'm on top of the bike while GSXR give me a feeling of being inside the bike.

well i will say compare to my 04 cbr1000rr its slight disappointment. cause 04 cbr1000rr is the most stable 1000 (but also the most heaviest). for 08 i still haven much confident in it... still trying ba...

Hmm, I've ridden my friend's '04 cbr1000rr before. I felt confident in it. So I can roughly guess hows the stability like for the '08. Anyway till dec bah.

nice exhaust you got there bro :thumb:

Thanks!

Bro, how is the cooling system, heard it get heated up pretty fast??

Thanks, u remind me to add 1 more review for the cbr bro's.

This bike heat up as fast as a 04, but it does not definitely as fast as a Yamaha R1. the heat disperse off by the fairing u will find it amazingly its the "COOLEST" Bike. normally bike give off heat in the main body n fairing. so in a jam u r super hot, this fairing new cutting ensure the air is vented out thru main rider foot rest. so slipper on this bike is a NO NO unless u r confident that u can a 130km/hr thru out ur journy. even when i wear shoes i also feel hot!
