Hi...to me when i was riding my cb1300...what bothers me was the weight, fuel and the 2 pipes..

i realise that the design of the cb1000 looks better with the single pipe and it`s also rare here

Parts are rare too, as this bike was never meant for our local market. Parts for the cb1300 is more readily available.

And moreover, most cb1000 are rather old, so i suggest you source out your parts first before getting the bike.

You can try after market shock.

I have order a pair of wilber emulsion shock for $1300++.

Comes with preload and rebound adjustability.

The shock components are CNC machined from aluminium alloy. Looks and feel like very quality product.

Haven't being able to try the difference cos the previous set was wrong for my bike. Now waiting for the replacement part.

Does anyone knows the On the road price (minus Insurance) for a new cb13 Super Bol d'or?

Thanks

I got mine the machine price is around $19K.

Now Mah Motor got a few CB1300 there :

1. CB1300 Super Boldor Europe Model (no centre stand, rear suspension cannot adjust and.... no power cut.

2. CB1300 Super 4 Japan model.

How to differentiate Japan and Europe model ?

1. Rear suspension. Japan model is fully adjustable, europe only can just preload.

2. Spark plug cable - Japan red, europe black.

3. Rim - Japan Gold, Europe black.

Japan model got a better build quality, but Europe model got about 40bhp more !!

Hi Mr Lau,

Machine price refering to price before registration fee and import duties?

Or is $19k after including the above fees?

If $19k just purely machine price without ARF and duties ... then add up the final on the road price will be quite hefty....

Thanks for the clarification

Hi Mr Lau,

Which model are you riding?

40bhp more for Europe spec model....wow that's a lot of horses...

If the jap spec is 100bhp, then the europe should be 140.... Wah that's quite something for a roadster.

Seriously considering trading in my current jap spec 2001 cb13 for a Europe spec bol d'or... if the price is right....

Mine is 2005 Japan Super Bol D'or.

The price $19.5k is include ARF. (No Reg, no COE, etc). That was the first 2005 CB1300 in Singapore....

Now should be cheaper lah....

Hope you dont mind me asking, Mr Lau, what made you change from a comfortable touring machine like a ST11 to a street bike, CB1300?

I still cant decide between the 2 of them.

I've checked the UK honda site.

The specification list for cb13 and cb13 super bol d'or is the same, 117Nm and 87kW ~116bhp. Should be the same as the japanese version.

Do Mah motor entertain calls on pricing and request for quotations?

i think what mr lau is trying to mean is both models comes in Japanese Domestic Market models which are limited a.k.a power cutted.

Well, both bike has it own advantages.

The main reason is ST1100 weight. I have experience the 330kg bike sink into sand, difficult to u-turn, and parking problem, while riding at foreign land alone.

Super4 has most advantage on over all this "daily" riding problem. I dont feel stress of drop the bike, squeeze in traffic, parking, etc.

And I heard ppl say, riding big bike easier to get chai, so I pick 1300cc lor, but so far no result, maybe I should try again with 1800cc.... :cheeky:

Hi, very interesting opinion about the CB1300. I would agree with Mr Lau wholeheartedly, yes the bike is easy to ride and handle, in fact I sold my Blackbird for the CB1300. It looks heavy but it isn`t, once it`s up n moving it`s easier to control, it carve out bends n corners with ease.... and when u like,, u could always leave some marks on the tarmac. Thats the nature of the the CB, 2 years on it and it never bores me..

Cheers

Hi retro7, the parts aren't really that rare. Can get them at FJT or BS. Of course some of the rarer stuff gotta order (just like any other bikes). It's the bike tat's rare. Good luck with your search!
