i have ordered a new swing arm from Boon Siew recently; due to rust that "eaten up" my current swing arm of my cb750 rc42.

 

Pls check if the 2 plates at the end of the swing arm are correctly positioned. Those plates should have the the "UP" sign and do ensure that they are correctly positioned. Because these plates were designed to let water escape; if they are positioned downside up ..... water will trap .... then corrosion .... then problem.

 

Juz sharing what i have experienced ..... do check the position of those plates; especially after taking out the rear tyres as the mechanic that does the job is only human and does make mistakes too.

 

My new swing arm arrived on Tuesday 18 Aug ..... already fixed on my CB750 by Boon Siew's mechanic

 

Now i can ride my bike in peace
