Well, mine has a big rust spot on the rod when I got it about a year back. I checked with a few shops then and they said it's not serviceable and thus I replace it with a very cheap alternative...

 

And now I need a better pair for a upcoming trip. Any idea if David sells shocks?

Did you throw away the old shocks?

the old springs should be good and i have a buddy that uses the cb400 shocks with cb750 springs

CB400 shocks should be 330mm, wouldn't that be too short or did he put on a suspension risers?

Better for cornering I suppose? My current setup seems to have higher CG, not safe for cornering.

 

how much one cub corner depends on much factors ... like tyres, suspension, etc

but the major factor is the "gut factor"

 

as i seldom ride ... during trips in Malaysia; i will ride within my comfort zone and let the chiongsters and youngsters lead the pack .

I can't, because my comfort zone was too narrow.

 

Present suspension has a strong preload but almost nil rebound. Thus it bounces like hell on uneven roads at 100km/h. Even if I'm thick skin enough to make my friends wait for me at that speed, it's still dangerous as I'll have no room for unforeseeable circumstances - which caused me a fall the last time I went up.

Price is abt S$ 100 then

 

wah guys, its so difficult to find the K&N filter HA-7591 locally. with Eddy's contact i called Eversuccess, dun have, must wait a least a mth! the K&N CMO section also must wait for next shipment which is a mth. Called sporting motor also must wait a mth n they quote me $150. SIAN!!!!

Yeah i'm riding the RC42. I did some research and found most parts on the nighthawk can be used on the RC42. Just order the filter fr eBay liao. should be able to reach next week. once i get the filter fixed up will let u guys know.

 

Haha, the rush is that my Vance and Hines exhaust (nighthawk, should fit RC42) is here. so wanna get the KNN filter to fix together.
