I have doubts about helmet mounted cams.

In a crash, two things can happen.

1. The camera gets smashed into the ground, destroying it

2. The camera gets punched into your helmet, destroying it, your helmet, and possibly your skull.

I'd stick to a tank or ram-mounted cam.

That's one of the theories behind Michael Schumacher's crash. The camera somehow reduce the strength of the helmet and there by did not offer sufficient protection..

Can try getting Drift Innovation Ghost-S. Motoworld selling it, or can buy overseas. Bullet type cam with attachment clip on that can stick on helmet. Looks better on a helmet than GoPro or Sony actioncam, but all these cam are equally good. Shock proof, water proof, dust proof, HD at 1080 60fps at least. Low light vision.

During my VN trip, I used a Polaroid XS100 Camera mounted via 3M double-sides tape to the left side of the helmet. The footage turned out to be pretty good, probably due to the image stabilization software. Volume was disappointing however.

Advisable to mount it on the bike anyway since you will be using double sided tape. Just rem to take it out everytime you park your bike, if not the next thing you know it's gone

WTS 2012 Yamaha FZ 16 ST red color version.

Interested party pls PM me. Good prices.

I'm using Drift ghost HD. Only gripe is the interface will freeze randomly and the only way to restart it is to access into the battery cover and reinsert the battery again. Otherwise, it's pretty good and compact.

I use both Drift ghost HD and GoPro session. Drift has problems and get freeze sometimes, need to take out the battery and reinsert. Then can use again. Sometimes it gives you error of slow sd card even u use the highest speed from the market. The benefit is that it is sleek.

GoPro hasn't give me any problems. Only very rare occasion can't connect to phone wifi to format and clear out the videos. Otherwise GoPro session is the convenient cam to use as it is already waterproof without need to get a casing.
