thanks!!! but still im trying to find out how much my lappy can take.... hmm... dell inspiron 8600.... got a 512 already... think i too lazy to search online... cos everytime a lots of links comes out!!!

Guys... i have recieved letter from HP that notebook i recieved has different chipset for graphic card than advertised before.

 

the laptop model is Presario F577AU, which is supposed to come with nVidia GeForce Go 6150 graphic accelarator.

 

but what i recieve has GeForce Go 6100.

so they made mistake and give me 3 options to choose

 

1. upgrade warranty (obviously that i'll not choose)

 

2. upgrade RAM to 2 GB (which would solve my first post to upgrade RAM)

 

3. change to another laptop Compaq Presario V3633AU.

but i cant find any supporting documents online for V3633AU. not even at google. dont know how it looks like?

so far i can conclude:

 

-display screen

F577AU = 15.2"

V36633 = 14.1"

that means i lost an inch on display screen

 

-CPU

F577 = 1.8 Ghz

V3633 = 1.9 Ghz

 

-Graphics

F577 = nVidia GeForce Go 6100

V3633 = nVidia GeForce Go 7150m

i tried google but no avail.

dedicated to shared mem ?

 

if not much different than what i have now GeForce 6100, then i'll choose RAM upgrade to 2 GB..
