No use, raise the deposit to 2k instead of 200 or 1 month to register the bike instead of 6 month. People bid for COE to buy bike, why need 6 month to use keep the COE to register. This is just my tot.

Possible. Just look at the licence system. We are the only country with the 3-tier still? Having to take tests over and over?

Raise or not people will still buy. Shops can just increase the loan duration. Now already got zero downpayment. Increase the deposit and shops will be really hardselling their bikes if they are not doing so now.

Sounds good, I am thinking might as well raise it to 10k.

Those needed bike will go to shop, those with cash will bid themselves.

For them to bid at such a price does imply that there is demand at that price point though

True tho, but look at the property market. Govt should introduce something to soften the COE bidding but truly feel that the 200 deposit and six month is to lax. Some have no choice but to listen to dealer as they will tell u lower coe is thing of the past.

I suppose they can shift buyers' sentiments as well as the overall price since individual COE bidders are few are far between

Dont worry it will come down, I guess by June.The economy is shaky now....

Even Cat B that targets at higher classes comes down.

Everntually cars will become cheaper and we can upgrade...

we bikers r far resilient! stock market tumble, property market dropped, other COE cat dived... but our bike COEs barely got a scratch! we bikers must be doing well.. Huat ah!

i hope too hachi but for you to renew your coe , it has to drop at least 4 to 5 times $2k each time. but if it just drop only today $2k, then the pqp will still be around $5 to 6k.

Unless , you intending to buy brand new

Is the dealers....Individual cannot submit large volume of bids.

My question: is the bidding live?other than one we see at onemotroing site, can a bidder know , whats the next bidder's bidding price?
