Hmmm.. depends, some banks will also see the age of the bike before issuing loan.

1995 to 2025 = 30years.. perhaps can register under classic vehicles?

I think he meant bank unsecured personal loan. Usually tied up with your credit card limit. Sometimes during promo the interest can be as low as 3.5% per annum. Bike shop re loan for used bikes usually from 5% up.

yeah paikia got it right, i always think bike loan is a rip off for 2nd hand bikes unless that amount exceeds 4x your income which you have got no choice though. infact personal loan from banks can even be cheaper than bike shop and you won't risk having your bike towed away if you unable to make payments for it. my point of view.

And the best part is (for some at least)... since the bike is 'not' under hire purchase, buyer has option of getting 3P insurance instead of mandatory comprehensive coverage.

Check with the banks that you currently hold credit cards. They usually have some form of loans. Some are 0% interest for 6 months to 1 yr with one-time admin fee, some are structured loans up to 36months with annual interest.

This is cashline... somewhat different from the credit card loan I was referring to but it works the same.

 

But this loan interest is higher than bikeshop loan.
