License plate

Hello, Just wondering if anyone got a clue of what license plate is approved and what is not....

1) rear license plate with sticker lettering?

2) embossed license plate?

3) license plate with pics at the top right... e.g. flags....

 

My sticker lettering started to peel off... so I might wanna change it to a cool but approved one. Hassle free..... thanks for any replies......

No. 2 confirm sure can...

 

But must be done with the standard lettering size lah...

wat i learnt when doin mine,the yellow color plate must match with a white color front....

black for both front and back....bout the pics and all i think not legal liao...

 

they oso got the size requirement for the rear plate,,,,cannot too small...

like those cars they put.... Let me re phrase.... Will TP actually stop us to summon or is it you can't pass the inspection? for example... PSB sticker on helmets...

Unless you done something illegal which caught his eye... If he is not happy with you then start to dig all the small things?

for plate,ROV will send u warning or maybe send u letter to go for inspection....

so if u intending to change plate to something illegal,keep old one just in case....

 

but it's not worth it lor...haha...plain is nice....

Since we are on the license plate topic, I saw a Mini parked at the CGH carpark a few days back with the European type license plate. Very nice but I'm sure they are not legal here.

I once got fined by ROV for using a non approved license plate...they won't ask you to go for inspection but will take down your particulars and send you a $70 fine...

euro plate their fonts diff...so is it as long as we use the euro fonts but comply with LTA's regulation then can pass?

I doubt so. The font is standard, no alternative. Maybe the owner of the Mini I saw was trying his/her luck.

European type? Think i seen alot of them on the road already. Even on Japaness car. Kinda nice, but Dangerous with those blue stripe on the plate..

LTA says only Singapore Approved Licence plates....& the euro fonts is different...embossed or not, white letterings against black backgrnd or blacks fonts against yellow backgrnd...DOUBTFUL leh... esp those with blue stripes or so...s'pore approved plates where got such fonts or stripes??

Yeah, read about that too a few months back. Something like they gonna allow personalize license plate in the near future, right?

I don't think it is a good idea leh...cause if they really do so then people might have problem verifying the plate no when met with an accident case like hit and run...sure alot of drivers and riders change until very small size one loh...speed camera might have problem with showing a clear pic of the plate no too...just what I feel la...

just abit of wild imagination on my side....later personalised until become electronic and digital..haha...

 

use LCD screen as license plate...must start bike then will show. forever free parking cos parking warden got no license plate to summon.

Agree with you on that but I think its not personalizing the fonts but rather making a name out of the numbers/letters. Something like what they have in the US.

i think as long ur number plate has the correct spacing, the letters n number has correct width n hight n also the correct colour can already...

 

i ever got caught for the spacing between my alphabet and number...
