Hi guys, I am now looking for ST11 or Vara 1000 or some class 2 bikes that can put boxes behind and at the side ... My budget is below $6000 (flexible). COE preferably 2020 or beyond.

 

Cash payment also can, COI also can..whatever...

Bro, got 2020 ST1100 going under 6k. Look at the bikes for sale section and you will know. It was sold before I could view. FYI bike shop selling 2022 ST11 at 8k only.

bro, good discount bike won't find you. so your post is mooted. No doubt got bike price so swee. this kind of price will only go to hardworking bikers who spend almost every 2 hours just to check forum on what goods stuffs on offer. U come in anyhow post like a boss. rather u get from bike shop

There are all sorts of "weird" prices, couple of months ago I went to view a FR plate ('95) DR650 for sale, asking $9K.

I guess its very subjective prices nowadays, the more rare is the bike, the higher the prices...

willing buyer, willing seller, not happy, just walk away. Simple.

Hi bro, which part of my post sounds like a boss? Haha..look, its subjective. I did my fair share of research before reaching the price, don't tell me you don't find any bikes that fits my price range?

 

I do check my post regularly that's why I am replying to you. But I didn't want to upzz my post every two hours as it would be very irritating to others.

 

I not in any hurry to get the bike. If anyone is willing to part near my price fine..if not then so be it.

Yes bro, there are people selling that Cb4 with four exhaust for 16k! Can buy you an old road king. But it's the seller's decision right? There will always be market forces at play. Take it or leave it. If he can't sell after long time, he might reduce or quit selling.

Perhaps its just another avenue...he keep searching and announce his intentions at the same time. Its good for both sides. More chance to hit rather than miss.

Actually it's true. But it's one of the most popular bike in town. Demand is there..helps to push the price up.

Hi, thank you to all the bikers who sent me their bikes information. Surprisingly, almost everyone asked me to ignore some messages posted here. (which I dont really mind anyway). Kind souls out there. Thank you.

 

Anyway, I bought myself a really beautiful FJR1300. It was understandably above my 6k budget but still a darn good buy. Luckily I didnt meet any "high ballers". For peeps out there looking to buy a bike, try posting a bike wanted request like what I did and you will be surprised by what you can find.

Yes bro, I shall not mention the price cos it will spoil the market for others selling FJRs but buying a bike is not just about price alone, the condition etc and your feel is important. Ride safe to all!

I was contemplating about the FJR but my mechanic told me.. "If you don't go above 200, better to get something below 1000cc". That's why I put off the idea... Cause I am not a "fast" guy...

Honestly, I only rode the FJR twice only since I bought it. Very happy with the power. I am not a speedster and I normally ride or drive at 90kph and i did the same with the FJR. haha.. i know people will criticize me for under utilising the FJR capabilities.

 

Maybe I can get to know other riders and can meet up for a drink or something...

 

I saw a group of BMWs at the coffeeshop under my office in Woodlands. :)

The power is usually utilize during trip up north. Not advisable to use it locally... Lol
