:cheeky: it me again...

 

This few day keep rain, then when i ride hm my Super Four, there seem to have alot of sand and dirt on the back seat and my box also...:( wondering isit because i didn't have a mud guard or isit (look at the pic below, i draw a red arrow there) i didn't have this (wat isit call?), that y i having so much of dirt after i reach hm during the rainy day.. Where can i get tis and how much it cost?

its called a rear hugger....also incorporates ur bike chain guard together...price range from 40 to 80 bucks...available from LAB , Motorworld n such....shops...

So isit becos i dun hav a rear hugger, so it cause mi to hav so much dirt when raining? I already have the chain guard, does it come onli the hugger?

bro with or without the hugger, your rear tyre should not be throwing dirt up onto your seat. S4 does not come with the hugger, most ppl put it for cosmetic purpose, I dont have hugger and my seat does not get dirty bro, maybe something else is the problem.. (cant think of what it could be though)

I dun think a hugger can help much becuz the rain water usually splash upward between the tire & the road (the rear part). Get an extension mud guard ( attached below the number plate). Hope u understand my explanation.

a good tyre is one that throws water (together with the fine sand) up and out, and far far away

 

so in your case, your tyre is doing a good job.

a rear hugger would be nice, but it doesn't solve the problem, because your back seat is getting wet due to the water that is being thrown up and hits on the box rack, which then flows down and dirties the back seat

 

your best solution is a mud flap.

i did upload a pic of my mud flap, but i can't remember where it is.

i had a mud flag ..and it's not those short one ..

but when it rains my tyre still splash up water to my pillon's back ..

my gf went mad..dunnoe how the water come up 1 ..sigh

it used to happen to me also...since fix a topbox, no more problem bro...

 

but then e base of the box usually get dirt lah..but tts better than got dirt on my gf clothes!!!:)
