Caught By ROV today!

was brought back for inspection with dis offences

 

No mudguard but i was using one

 

number plate size and colour of characters not in accordance with requirements.. but i was using the plastic yellow number plater

 

sprocket cover missing

 

Tampered exhaust pipe & Silencer

 

ROV did not accept any explanation at all. previous owner tampered the pipe but he said now its ur bike so ur responsibility..

and he said total is 1k..

but i called LTA they said tampering is bet the range of 100-600

 

he also said tampered pipe need to go court...

 

do you think appeal would work? as the pipe was not tampered by me and previous TP who stopped me nv tok abt my pipe..

 

str8 appeal to MP? you think it will work? so i need to pay for the previous owner modification?? :cry: :cry:

its your duty to ensure YOUR bike is free of illegal modifications wat..

 

the previous owner may have done them..but its YOUR bike at the time of the offence..

 

low or no chance of appeal in my opinion...

What bike is it? must be a rare bike.

when you got the bike, you should check with these stuff and make sure everything is legal mar....

Ignorance is not an excuse. Now you learn it the expensive way.

 

Appealing to MP??? On what grounds? There are many others with more compelling and real problems that needs the attention of the MP.

Using a illegal exhaust is $500.(Rules are quite grey on Tampering a legal aftermarket exhaust and using a illegal aftermarket exhaust)

Without Rear Fender is $30.

No plate is $70.(The colour combination for no. plate is this: Front White(Black Letterings)/Rear Yellow(Black Letterings), Front Black(White Letterings)/Rear Black(White Letterings))

 

Appealing on what ground?That u r a noob in bikes and u didnt know that the pipe has been modified?Quite difficult i guess..

 

Total fine amount will be less than 1k

but then i haf been stopped by TPs and dey nv tok abt my pipe.. wah suay.. i heard some ppl change pipe den go appeal manage to get 200-300 discount hopefully for me they do the same.. haiyah!!

Rightfully, TP dun really care bout ur pipe unless u r talking bout task force..

 

Same thing goes for ROVs who wont care bout u using a tinted visor..

somemore when doing the ROV inspection time, i can feel the ROV trying to be friendly compare the time when he caught u .

the rov what number? tampering is you using original exhaust then go modified. chamber all this is called "modified exhaust" or aftermarket exhaust" ROV and TP very different. If you see ROV better pray hard cos they 100% focus on modification. Example: Mudguard, tyres, rims, single seater, spokey rims, after market disc brakes, extra light on bike, double bubble, racing footrest, no safety pin at the axle, road tax, lowering of folk more than 1inch kena demerit points! ROV not very intrested with traffic offences like parking, pavement riding, speeding, tinted visor or what ever. They focus on your vehicle.

 

For your info i kena warning for my folk cos too low, double bubble, steering damper, folk brace, small rim size 17" while original stock is 18" small tyre 70/80, footrest and my nut cover the numbers on my number plate. wah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

steering damper and aftermarket brake disc is legal , i confirm with LTA senior vehicle engineer in march this yr ...

 

the rest yes is illegal esp the single seater and LED , kena fine for LED sell away bike also may not be enough to pay 1 LED=$50 , imagine 2 whole rows of LED tail lite :giddy: .. single seater if they wan play punk say u change particular of log card w/o informing LTA problem big big....

1k fine for a tampered exhaust pipe.

 

You tell the ROV officer, previous case of high profile expat came here to work, drink and drive and knock down an elderly causing his death only fine 1k?? No jail somemore.

 

Where is the level of measurement? tampered pipe nia, also never drink and cause accident... how come 1k?

25th nov got accident

dec friend passed away

one month to change to stock. one month with papers to "legally" use the pipe, at a high cost.
