My stock Dunlop last for 14000+ km, changed to michelin pr3. Leaning and steering seems quicker maybe due to the different Curve of the tyre. Grip wise, so far it gives confidence in wet, but still have to bewAre of the white stripes on the road, encounter slight sliP. mileage wise, I get back to you when it's botak..

Hey fellow versys riders, here's an event you guys might be interested in:

Goh Mia Chun, one of the first Asians to travel around the world on his motorbike (2.5 years on the road with an African Twin!) will be sharing about his experience on 26 Nov 4pm at DBS Remix at *SCAPE. Free admission, and Motul will be doing a bike care demo + giving out goodie bags. Anyone game?

Hi rex, so far stuff i put on my blackie are,

1. Powerbronze hugger from biketech21@200+,

2. Acerbis dual road handguard from motormatic(malaysia)@140,

3. Evotech radiator guard from unique@i 4got how mucho_O.

4. BMW grips from m-technic

5. Seat mod by Alan

6. Bagster Tankbra from motoworld@150

Stuff u might notice upon riding your bike will be the stock gearing is short, 1st gear is very irritating, have to change up fast. Many people have resort to changing rear sprocket to 44, Silverbullet is one of them. Bike is snatchy and jerky @ low rpm cause it runs lean down low, lots of popping if u change to aftermarket exhaust. It can solved by power commander or TPS adjustment

Sooooong don't under estimate the Acerbis dual road handguard, my wife was bumped by reversing van. Fortunately her scoot had a the Acerbis handguard when she felt, the handguard protected her fingers when she landed on the car. No damage on the handguard but instead the car had a dent.

Hi Rex,

Welcome to the V club. I only own it for about a month.

It was pretty stock with only a H&B crash bar, Givi wing rack with top box and side e21 pannier. What I have installed so far are:

1: Calsci medium height wind shield USD 185

2: Rear hugger from Ebay cost about SGD30

3: Seat raise mod

4: High way peg mount ( on the way from US )

5: Lowering foot peg block ( on the way from US )

6: Adjustable brake lever nut ( on the way from US )

7: Bar end balancer ( on the way from UK )

Planning to get an anti-vibration handlebar riser.

Rex, I believe one of the forumers mentioned that motoworld still have stock on tankbra, u can give them a call to find out. As for the seat mod, it's just a plate that attached to existing mounts under the seat, it effectively raises the front part of your seat so you won't encounter the butt slippage to the tank during braking. U can contact Alan, his nick is Sn3ll, I believe he still have stock. As for sprocket, the us forumers seem to favor supersprox, I think unique carries them.

same size @ racewerk, $400. my fren got it cheap at ah boy, $370 for street triple size but no fix.

I think $400 is pretty reasonable...your fren still need to transport and pay labour charge to fix up.
