blue light bulb legal??

hey guys.. i jus changed my headlite light bulb due to faulty. so this mech told me that he giving me white light. was told by him will pass inspection. now then i notice that mine is bulb light bulb with white light.. so i worry cannot pass inspection.. another thing is i was told by my fren as long as the watt is 50 can le..if 100watt then cannot.. is it true??? thanks in advance..

u must really make sure the light produced by the bulb is white. there are some blue tinted lightbulbs out there which produces slightly greenish or blueish or even purplish colors. these are not allowed.

 

to play safe, change to those normal yellow bulbs before inspection. dont waste time & petrol making another trip for being faulted for wrong headlight color.

Eh, bro... "can pass inspection" is not equal to "legal".

 

Most of the time i go for inspections to renew roadtax, if something is "not very correct", i'll just need to assure the tech i'll go change soon. Works especially well if you're riding an Ah Pek type bike there and you give reasons they can empathise with (for example, tyres balding soon, say need to wait for payday, now very broke... etc. They are workers too and will understand).

 

But even if you pass the inspection, you suay suay kena one LTA officer or TP waiting just outside the gates, they can still summon you and the "but I passed inspection" reason will not hold any water (it'll get the inspection centre in trouble instead).

 

Common sense applies, please.
