super high fuel consumption!!! pls help!!!!

hey guys, firstly thks for ur time to view . . . pls give mi some advice . . .

 

im riding a nsr 150 sp, my fc full tank can only go up till 140 when riding normal or if i drag the bike often den it will only b 120 b4 reserve . . .

 

 

mods on my bike . . .

potted carb

428 spocket

 

but my friend sp around the same mod wit mine . . . can go up till 180-200 . . . i haf done carb servicing n change of engine oil . . . but it still of no help . . .

 

my jetting is the original size . . . but once i heard the bike shop saying tat if i tong my endcan den i mus change the oil jetting to a bigger 1 . . . would tat haf a diff? a bigger wun cause my fc to go even higher?

 

some pros pls help . . .

ur carb potted to how big sia? carb make a diff too..

u r using a 28mm ported to 28.5mm or 29mm or a 34mm ported to 35mm? pls advice.

 

as for your mods it's normal. more on your carb's jettings that causing the high FC. bring to another bikeshop to get it rejet and retune. Even with a 34mm carb with the proper calibrated jets, you can get mileage as good as over 220km/full tank.

 

btw the 428 sprocket(the chain size to fit the sprocket), 428 is the size of the chain, as 428 hub is the hub to hold the 428 chain instead of the usual big chain(for my bike is 520 sp i nt sure hahas) which is heavier. and lighter chain will make ur bike lighter and slightly faster

 

could be ur sprockets settings as well.. you could need to rev more to get a certain speed.. any idea about ur sprocket settings? front & rear? and lastly how do u ride normally? on small road rpm 7? on e'way always valve open(rpm 8k above)?

my bike wif 30mm carb n power filter can go 170km to reserve

but yesterday i raise the needle, feel better but only 140km to reserve.

mine when stock only 180km to reserve.

 

can i get 200+ km (mileage) for 30mm carb+power filter+porting+chamber+enough power?
