i have a situation here. i am selling my bike to a 18yrs old friend. my insurance for my bike end this year end. but he bought his insurance for my bike too. so i tot 1 bike, only the owner can have 1 insurance. is there any complications coz i will be riding the bike till year end since he haven't got the money to pay me yet.

no complications.. your friend is just wasting money for his insurance.. i would advice him to cancel his insurance and get your bike another time or some other bike.. his insurance should be damn ex.. below 21 and should be P-plater some more..

U confirm selling to him? Ask him dun act smart.. Buy now he also waste 1 month plus of insurance..

from my own experience.. if the bike is still under ur ownership, the insurance that ur fren bought is invalid. The same applies to u.....

Ride safe, or else urs will be the one I'm looking at, at work!!!! :cool:

No complication. This is similar to when buying a used bike. The buyer would need to buy his own insurance before effecting change of ownership while the seller still has his insurance in force for the same bike.

 

Hope the bike is still in your name, agree on the selling price, and take a deposit from him. Agree on a date to effect the transfer, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited.

 

Meantime, buy another lock for the bike :angel:

hey hey thanks for the info.. i haven't transfer the name to him yet and he don't have the key also. i also told him its a waste but he say he wanted to avoid don know wat insurance rise. its his money and there is no complications then i will not bother anymore.

we have already agreed on the price le but i haven't collect a deposit yet. the date is set at 15 nov.
