My thinking is that you are just paranoid. Now you suspect civilian vans parked at the road shoulders to be TP officers hidden undercover with handheld speed detectors.

Next, what? A dustbin with a hidden speed camera? Wait.. I've heard of that somewhere before. :cheeky:

I think the SG police will not use such an underhand method to catch people. Juz putting their cameras on the bridge already can catch so many people speeding, so I think the method you bring up isn't really feasible. And Singaporeans will complain like nobody's business if the police really did that.

If I'm not mistaken, they are required to be visible when they are on duty.

yess.. agree... police officers must be in presence for the public to know that they're around when on duty.... unless under cover or ambush then its not necessary..

btw... just keep to the speed limit ( + - 10kmh ) laa.. then u wont have to really care abt TP(s) .. haha...

the reason why they are so-called "camping" on the bridge is because of safety aspect. imagine they are taking photos by the road side and one driver or rider jammed his/her brakes because they were speeding and tried to slow down to avoid being captured and skidded, colliding into the officer by the road side.. it would be disastrous.
