Hi All,

My company parking lots is at the fourth floor. Everyday l got to go up and down this circular slope.

I am wondering is it better to use engine brake or normal brake when coming down the slope?

Is it good to use engine brake frequently?

Many thanks in advance.

the moment you close throttle, you are already using engine brake.. unless you clutch in la..

bro, i think using engine brake is better..u can regulate the travelling speed down the slpe, nt having to worry if u're depressing ur brakes too much which will cause more wear and tear....

even when u're learning riding, they teach u to go down slope with engine braking ...

my 2 cents bro

i heard from my fren he said that using engine brake too much will also cause wear and tear on the engine parts. can anyone who knows pls confirm?

cannot be 0% harmless what - sure to have at least a bit of wear and tear ryte?

be it engine braking or brake pads braking, both serves the purpose to slow down the bike at at the same time both does wear and tear too. dont driving school teaches us to use both braking methods to slow down and stop the bike, car??

like wat i had said earlier... its ur own control and style...

Its better to use both engine brake and foot/lever brakes.Engine brakes dont harm much on the engine components, why?,your clutch plates are oil bathed.

use both then shouldn't be a problem :) btw raining days i use engine brake more than front and rear brakes.. more effective and safer.. normal days i use both lor

Acceleration power is not important than a good perfect braking system to prevent an accident.

any other brake pads u guys using that is recommended but falls within $30 - $40 range?

also where is good and cheap to do brake bleeding or anything to do with brakes? i know got one shop but i forgot. they are good and reasonebly prices to do s4 brake stuffs. i think they are at ubi if im not wrong..
