Actually i think its better to have open chain gurad cos at least u can wash the chain when its dirty and lube it whenever neccessary. if u need to tighten the chain oso much easier.

My fren oso say that in spore not allowed to have concealed chain gurad leh.... not sure whether how trye this is but his reason was in case the chain snapped then the chain can fall nicely onto the ground instead of inside the guard which may split and injure the rider..... hear say only lah! :D

huh? my version is that when u open chainguard then more dirt + water can get onto the chain making it more liable to wear out..

anyone else have other opinions?

anyway no need to tighten chain frequently one mah..hehe once in awhile take out the lower part of the chainguard oil oil abit lor...

doubt chain will snap so easily...unless it's really rusted like hell or when overtighten lor..heh

but as u said...if chain snap inside the chainguard...how can it fly out and injure the rider? seems like possibility of that happening is higher w/o the original chainguard wor

:p

i think honda engines are generally very reliable. use semi synthetic or fully synthetic oils in your engine. change them regularly and the engine will last longer.

hmmz...thou 4stroke engines r generally more lasting

but advice given to me by my friend is not to drag the gear of the bike too much lor...according to him...4stroke engines for 400CC engines...

as you know, there are various types of suspensions for the wave. which brand do your recommend? are they much better than the original ones?

there isnt any specific brand if you want cheap ones as cheap as RM58 per set, with preload adjustments. If you want to go for branded stuffs which are fully adjustable, can get Bitubo or Ohlins shocks, which cost at least S$600.

Yo guys, been riding vespa for the pass 3 years and when i change to wave i am shock as it requires different skills to handle them. Especially the gear. Perhaps you guys might share a few tips or two~~

Anyway just like to ask whether its a norm of the bike...

1) when changing gears sometimes i kick down, it will not go to the next gear?

2) when moving off after starting the bike, heard clanking of chain. Is it due to the original chain guard?

Thanks in advance yah! :D
