1) change the rear shocks need to remove the rear fairings.

2) remove rear fairings need to remove box, rack, grab rail, chain guard and centre basket.

3) fix on new suspension need to remove a bolt on exhaust so new shocks can go in.

 

took me quite some time to DIY. if u willing to pay mechanic, save u some trouble.

haha...shall slowly figure it out lar...dat day juz took out the front + side fariings to do some cleaning of engine exterior...took me quite sometime to figure out all the bolts...

only considering the DIY option if im buying the suspension frm spore motordiam...if buy frm JB..den no need worry abt worksmanship liao..

thanks potato bread, ive went to SuperBike yesterday to get the tyre and engine oil changed. They changed to the Gold 4T engine oil, is it good?! if jus changed, usually ride how many clicks for the next change?!

Also, the tyre width was kinda thinner than my old type, is it good?cpst only $25.

U sure he tighten instead of loosen??? u can actually DIY for the brakes. its totally idiotproof once u know how to do it. cos its prob one of those things which i can confidently do it! haha. just take a screwdriver and turn the brake nob can liao.

 

if not maybe its time to change ur drum brake pad.

hey no problem.. merry christmas.. for engine oil i usually change those cheap cheap 1.. no point get so gud for wave... as they r design to be economic, so no need to change so gud. normal engine oil can liao.. as for how long den i change, i will recommend ard 3000km change of engine oil. as wave eat up engine oil.. so be safe den sorry. else wait the engine oil dry liao u oso dunno den piston jam... as for the tyres, u mean $25 for front n back or oni the rear tyre? wat brand iszi? no comment unless i know wat brand u change. for me now using michelin pilot sporty. its oso a bit thinner den the original tyre i think.. so far no problem..

ok, i mite try the to DIY the brake myself n see if ok. as for the engine oil, im quite ok with it, anyway, he charged only $15 w workmanship. my friend oso told me use cheap cheap type can liao, but i donno which type is the cheaper ones. nvrmind.

 

the tyre is only for rear wheel, i also donno the brand. guess im not so mechanically incline?! must spend more time with my wave lah.

 

since you say 3000km, so if my indicator shows 23300.0, the next round i should change is at 26300.0, rite?!

its the multi coloured spring type. with preload adjustments. i have used for about 8 months, so far its working fine.

I oso wanna chaneg the bloody suspension. JB LAB quote me RM100 for the suspension which i think quite reasonable lah. but i waiting for my ERS to come in then i can change!

 

Anyway i noe the way in liao(after potato and race impart their knowledge to me! hee) so if u all wan, we can go in after the new yr then do together, maybe we can try to negotiate for cheaper price! hee

 

I oso wanna install electric horn, cos i think our too soft to be heard... but still deciding whether to go MotorX do or JB LAB

In fact, 'posh' is never an original brand. there are many 'posh' factories in thailand making the same products. hence, sometimes u see there are several types of posh footpegs, post balancers, posh brake disc, etc.
