Malaysia Ah Boy

Shop Name : GUO HUI MOTOR ENTERPRISE

ADDRESS : NO,19,20 JALAN TEBRAU, 80250, JB.

HOW TO FIND:

1 ) After the Malaysia custom make a U turn

2) Look for the 2nd Shell station ( Careful got real gunman around )

3) Once pass Shell station go all the way up and look for BP station at yr left hand side.

4) The shop was just a meter away before or can said beside the BP station.

wah.....

think there's this SHELL

where the road after the SHELL is split into 3

the middle one goes back to customs

the right most one can go to holiday plaza

the left one i dont know can go where

so this SHELL station is the 1st or 2nd one huh?

For those of u who hav the Wave manual, the LAST Page indicates Honda recommends Honda 4T (JASO MA 40). I guess SAE 40 is recommended for Honda Wave125 cause the manual shows that! Anyway the manual is in thailand language, i can just understand the picture with the Honda 4T and Jaso MA 40.

I think MINERAL engine OIL is more than enough for Honda Wave! The manual indicates that Minimal is SAE40 with(JASO MA) certification. So u still can use that IDEMITSU mineral engine oil. Just stick to the recomended interval drain period or change once u feel it turns sluggish!

I guess rough figure is around 3000km right?

okiez

thks for the info

anyway what difference is there between oil w/ and w/o jaso ma 40 certification?

wah

batalax?

think that's the model pple usually use on sportbikes right? yet to c any wave using that brand yet.....but perhaps u can stick to the 2 model of tyres as recommended here? the tt900 and michelin pilot sport

and sorry to hear abt yr accident...but how u buang until both sides of the bike kena? hrmz..mirrors can get frm spore LAB very cheap only...below $10 if im not wrong

balances also can get aftermarket ones which r metallic colors...also ard $10

as for the chainguard...depends u wan to hammer back to original shape or simply change to a aftermarket one lor...not sure how much a aftermarket one would cost thou

and how's the wiring for the ERP unit like huh? perhaps can try buying some of those normal wires ard and link back the connection lor...then use some tape to tape up the exposed wirings...:goodluck:

A lot of us skid using the wave stock tyres! Go and change MICHELIN PILOT SPORTY. It's one of the better quality! Better than DUNLOP. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

wah

i did what u plan to do a few mths back

financially wise i dint regret

but sometimes will miss those days when cornering on a sportsbike is more fun

anyway

guess a new 1st hand wave would probably cost somewhere 3k bah

varies abit depending on yr insurance lor

a 2nd hand one would probably cost u ard 2k lor

and yup...there's really quite a big variety of mods for the bike available

supposed to be much cheaper in JB compared to SG

so far am still looking for pple to bring me in

but personally not intending to do much performance or cosmetic mods lar...it will be hurting to my wallet if TP decides to pay more attention to my bike

pros got:

spend much lesser on petrol

no need buy 2T liao

no need to lube chain so frequently

no need to worry when u need to change a new pair of tyres for >$100 as wave tyres costs way below $100

can put box w/o doing much harm to the bike's image

increase in storage space

no need to use clutch

see hump no need to zham brake so much as before liao

pillion more comfortable

cons:

cannot be so lao lan as on a sportsbike liao

have to limit the amt of banking to prevent buang-ing as tyres for wave are smaller

the absence of clutch means u need to re-adjust yr riding style

now if yr headlight or brakelight bulb blown means u dont have an extra one to help u tong liao

oh ya btw guys...

wat tyre size u use on your waves ah?

can use 80/80 4 both front n rear?

or can our waves use 90/90 4 both?

cos 70 abit too small 4 me ah...

btw anyone can help me on my problem?

Yar loh..many frds encourage me dun opt for wave, cos the speed sure wear me dw n the handling nt very good,,but i really put into consideration tt the fact i going army real soon..Somemore if i really want to lao lan or do some serious corning, maybe going dw to track...Sp is nt for me.it is nt a real good sportsbike, althought i koe skill is depends on rider..Why nt i wait for my 2a n get a better bigger sportsbike..Even for nw i fully mod my sp is nt worth it n is like a small fish in big pond(if u wan to compare wif others sportsbike lah).I'm nt trying to pull dw sp rider or image but is wat i think loh, anyway i'm a currently rider too..anyway i riding RR.

Fule does nt really bothers me as i always go jb pump oil 1,but dunno where r all the shops leh.

Although really on for wave leh but still the handling n speed(slow does nt means safe mah especially on highway) still bothering me..

Will continue n rack my brains.

headlight or brakelight bulb blown means u dont have an extra one to help u tong liao->wat u mean by this .

Hmmm.....y everyone keep toking about the handling of the bike? At the speed the bike go, dun think u will good handling. You might feel unstable when u 1st ride the bike becos u r just not used to it. Once used to the weight n handling of the bike, u can ride in 99 wan with just 1 hand!!

I think the most important thing u must ask urself is whether u can tahan the power of the bike or not. Its really pui chao nua( spit saliver). If u think u r the type who like to go disturb ppl, always wan to run with ppl, then dun get a wave!! Dun get a 4 stroke!!! Go get a 2 stroke or big bikes!!

Wave is for posers, for old ppl, for ppl with budget, for ppl who thinks public transport is very expensive n waste of time, for ppl who wan to spend less then $100 a month for a bike!!

And 1 more thing i can tell......without the $$$$$ image in ur mind, u wun be afraid of falling. Dun be surprised if u find urself riding fiercer then u ride other bikes.

Sorry if i sound too yaya.

Just go bike shop ask them do for u. dun think will charge u.

Or if u can find long metal pipe( hollow) , stick the pipe into the footpeg n bend to straighten back.

for me, too poor to get a new one... :faint:
