This morning I was stopped by a ROV for some mods. I mention to him about the front basket illegal issue and he told me that he is not aware that there's such thing of them fining riders for putting front baskets. He told me we cannot anyhow listen to motorshops or people. ??? But i tot someone mention they got caught n fine before for the front basket thingy?

That ROV gave me a number 1800-2255582 (V. E Dept) to enquire regarding any modifications on the bike.

I think next time if anyone really got stop and the TP or ROV stop you and catch you for anything, they will have a file/handbook with all the rules inside. They will have to show you that sentence or clause. For me because this is my 1st time get stop for illegal mods, then I know that. For eg, he show me the drawings of the the correct size of the number plate, he even took out his measuring tape.

So do be aware in case u get fine for front basket issue.

tat number is LTA number..

V.E dept is vehicle engineering dept.. they would "try" not to answer too much over the fone so u can anything log on to lta webbie or onemotoring webbie to ask yr question thru email, they will give u a much better idea of those modification stuff of wat is can and wat is cannot...

sport rim so as if tire hit nail wont go flat so fast. still can ride to motor tiam.

if spoke rim u hab to push bike liao.

sport rim more heavy, pickup slower, as for fuel consumption.. nvr heard rim will affect fuel consumption.

ok... let me clear the air regarding rims and fuel consumption... lighter rims WILL contribute to better fuel economy.... very simple reason... the lighter the rim, the less energy it takes for the engine to turn the wheel... and thus improving acceleration, speed, traction, and of coz fuel economy...

sports rims is heavier than spoke rims

so it wont lower yr fuel consumption....not sure if it will increase yr fuel consumption much as well

after changing over to sports rims...u will need to use tubeless tyres...

as compared to the tube type tyres u use w/ the original spoke rims...tubeless tyres dont puncture as easily

wad u r saying is very extreme liao for wave in mean...

how much fuel will u save if a wave is already such a economic bike?

compare sport rims n spoke rims...maybe will save 10 to 20 cents?

wad i m saying applies to wave oni...

to save abt afew cents per trip to a petrol koist, would u rather spend afew hundred bucks to change to sport rims?

if u calculate the few cents to afew hundred bucks...which do u tink is a better choice?

i m now toking abt fuel to sport rims n spoke rims oni.

the choice is yrs unless u toking abt which looks nicer n which is more convenient when u mit a punctured tyre.

ofcourse a sport rim is heavier compare to a spoke rim n ofcourse it takes more power to move the bike...but tat is very minimal when toking abt a wave.:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
