yup i saw one badly damaged with a very big gaping crack on a gsr400 before. It was a few weeks after i got my bike. I saw the wreck at hkl.

One word to describe this rider... "Impressive!"

 

Sometimes people say .. "it's not the bike that is awesome... it's all about the rider who make the rider awesome!". You can have a top range bike... but if you're just a noob or behave like a noob like that "Su...mi" ... the bike will simply downgrade itself to be like the rider.

 

From the vivs.... I can see that this Mattie has great control over this balancing and throttle/clutch control... have anyone noticed that he doesn't just let the front wheel drop down? Instead he controlled it to lessen the impact... plus when you see closely... the fork does't goes down much which simply tell us that he is able to control how well he want the impact to be... which is very critical for wheelies... most failed wheelies are due to poor recovery which caused tank slaps or too much impact that will cause the rider to lose he's balance.

 

Overall... I think if you have the skills and guts... you can wheelie just about any bike you want...

Well he did quite something on his bike to run it up to that state..Here's wat i cud remember:

Customed mid pipe attached to a single yoshi end can.

Hydraulic clutch

Customed crashbar

GSXR 1000 K4 Fork and triple clamps

Ohlins rear Shock

Brembo Brake Cylinder

Nissin front and rear calipers

Aftermarket handlebars

Aftermarket Coolant Hoses

65-teethed rear sprocket

Custom fuel Tank

 

really? got video? its actually not legal cos manufacturers never bother to change the documentations and LTA is just too dumb to realise that both the 400 and 600 are the same machines, just different bore size.

Hi I spotted some corrosion at the rubber ring at the front suspension area. Does not seem to be any fork oil leak cos no trace of oil ard the area...can anyone advise me what happen?? inside leakage?

The seal came off a bit, like rusted rite? Maybe you may wanna do fork servicing to change the seal and fork oil.

 

I have ridden the bike for almost 1.5 yrs already seal not broken yet. Its the riding style I guess. Aggressive with the fork suspension, it may happen. Maybe I cover my bike during the day and night. How it happens...no one knows hahhah.

 

Advice to change it when the damage it little. Too much then more cost involved.

Ya.. The black color rubber seal rust and some area like chipping off due to the corrosion..aggressive.. No leh.. Maybe previous owner.. Guess he went touring before..

i know it's bad n dangerous but i always tend to over look. now the movement like more vibrations.

i don't know bec of it or not but i'm getting my wheel and the fork oil + fork seal serviced this sun.. u wanna tag??

Yeah... the fork seal is highly "degradable" ... someone ever told me to make sure I wipe dry every it rains becos rain water tends to get trap there and dengue mosquito can breed there... hehe... just kidding. But about trapping water, it true and it could lead to faster detoriation of the cheap plastic seal ... One thing for sure... do not play play with the fork... if you notice something wrong... better to go check with the mech.

Wah ... lasted for 2 years even after corrosion? Your fork oil never leak meh? Luckily our are not the inverted fork... if not your fork oil sure leak badly...

Ehz... the top part, the cover is not the fork seal itself but a dust cover, the fork seal is located beneath that..... during the service, i saw it, so that why never leak lo... corrodded dust cover...
