Faster?? It depends on the rider and not the machine. If you put Rossi on any of the current MotoGP team, he will sure win no matter what bike he rides.

 

Maintenance?? Both same leh. Only one is electronic and the other carb.

 

oh btw, you all were saying about the yoshi pipe can fit panniers.

is it givi rack or h&b rack?

 

saw flareon givi rack and it seems like no space for the yoshi pipe to go in.

 

If not wrong there are only 3 kinds of racks that can be used; Givi, SW Motech and H&B. I think the 2 later ones can be used without any issue. Do check with the manufacturers.

Just change to Yoshi..true it take hell lot of effort to take out STOCK xos..but from what i observe from yoshi is that the 2 end can can be easily taken out using wrench. Robber just take out the valuable twin end can and leave the rest attach is enuf to make us cry...

 

Trust me, its not that easy.

This coming from someone who spent 2 hours taking off and installing aftermarket end cans on the GSR DIY.

 

To take the end cans off, you need to take off the rubber supports and the interlocking nut connecting the 2 brackets in the centre.

To access that, you need to take off the rear handle and tail lights assembly.

To access that, you need to take off the tail board.

To access that, you need to take off the seat.

Which needs a key.

 

Oh, forgot to mention that, even after all that, you still need to take off the mid-pipe as well coz there is tightening collar around the end cans. Cannot remove the end cans until the collar is removed.

That requires mid-pipe removal.

That requires header to be removed.

That requires radiator to be lowered.

That requires the side fairings to be removed.

Which requires a key as you need to remove the tank.

 

Plus, those who install sideracks like me, make the situation even more stickier.

 

So, you decide for yourself...

What is valve clearance? My mileage now 10k, do i need to do that?

valve clearance: 10k still abit early. not worth it. wait for 30 or 50k..

 

anyway bone, already fabricated a 5-point grounding for my bike. improved on the throttle response and my millege got 2km more though riding style has worsen due to late waking ups

So I'd worry about securing the bike as a whole instead of the end cans alone.

Recently, I realized an idiot had attempted to perform theivery on my bike by unscrewing 2 bolts on the left hand side foot peg assembly, the whole part that connects to the passenger foot peg as well.

Why an idiot?

Coz he only unscrewed 2 bolts and left the 3rd huge one on.

I suspect he realized there is nothing to steal on the left hand side. Its the gear shifter assembly. Nissin brake pump is on the other side. And considering the amount of force needed to unscrew the 2 bolts alone, I guess he gave up and moved on.

Problem was he left the 3rd screw slightly loosened. I discovered this when I felt increased vibrations on my left foot while riding. Realized the whole assembly was quite loose, held only by the loosened bolt and my side racks which is bolted to the passenger footpeg.

 

If I were you guys, I'd worry about brake pumps, brake calipers and mirrors being stolen rather than the end can.
