Currently using the Metzeler Z6 Interact. My review for it is good. Has good grip for both wet and dry riding. Metzeler Z6 Interact is the siblings of Metzeler sportec M5.

Btw, Metzeler sportec M5 doesn't have 5 different compound. Rather, it has 5 different zones on the contour of the tyres. "The new Sportec M5 Interactâ„¢ boasts five well-defined zones over the entire contour of the tyre, achieving always the best grip lean for each angle, stability and constant feedback. "

High Silica Mixture Compounds

The two newly developed tread compounds of the Sportec M5, unique between front and rear, seamlessly partner with the Interactâ„¢ structure. Derived from a completely new mixing procedure and produced with a larger percentage of silica, they bring top-of-segment adhesion on dry land as well as uncompromising confidence in wet conditions, still keeping a rapid warm-up time for a maximum supersport grip level right from the first pull of the throttle.

Well in the end, its the rider and not the material that makes the difference.

Last time got predator soccer boots. If wear that boots can play really well, sure Team Singapore is in the finals for World Cup 2010 hehheh.

Hi all,

I will be getting my GSR400 soon. Seriously I know nuts about this bike or should I say I know nothing about bikes. Had been reading from page 1 and found some valuable information. However as pages goes by, there seem to be more chat than information on this model. I have to skip quickly but worry I might miss out some information.

I saw some guys posted questions but was replied to search for himself in this thread.

Anyhow, I would appreciate if any kind soul could lead me to some informative link that I could find out more.

I will be getting a 2nd hand March 2007 GSR 400 at $10500. I guess this might be high because i bought it at bike shop without asking for discount. Any advice is this price is too high?

It come with modified exhaust (dont know what name), sound quite cool and look exactly like the original exhaust.

It also come with Power commander or something. What is this? Is it something like Mortec or Unichip for car? Is this is suppose to be good, must I tune it everytime as parts of our bike will wear and tear?

Anywhere that I could download the user manual for this model? I did a search on google but what I found is other language. And I do not know which generation this model is from.

Thats all of my questions so far, I hope to be able to meet up with you guys soon.

I'm not sure if you're referring to the tyre material or some other topic. But if you're referring to the tyre material doesn't make the difference, then I may have to disagree. (cheers... no flaming or arguement... just wanna speak my opinion.)

So far, I have changed tyre only once for this bike and I am only comparing the differences between the stock tyre and the current tyre that I am using. To me, I really felt the difference when riding on wet road and cornering on wet road. To me, I guess it is the tyre material that makes the difference in the grip. I am not saying other brand/makes of tyres are not good. I am not in position to judge/review tyres because I have only used the stock BT14 and the Z6 Interact. So between these two... Z6 is better. :thumb:

Anyway, it's a worthwhile investment to get a good pair of tyre. It's truely the only thing that is in contact with the road and your bike and yourself.

To cut short the reply... the best way to know about this beauty GSR is to go to their weekly gathering. Check back on this thread and probably you will see where they will be holding their gathering. It's the best way to get knowledge directly from the GSR riders when you meet up with them. It's even best if you can attend their weekend's DIY.

For 2007 GSR with modified exhaust(assume it is legal-check to see if it is legal, if you haven't!) + Power Commander

The price of 10k is quite worth it. Provided the bike is still in good condition.

GSR400 doesn't have English Manual. Do not bother to look for it. It has only Japanese manual instead. Only GSR600 has the english manual.

Talking about other topic. Some thinks that with better tires, they can do super duper stunt and can still be safe. Understanding oneself and how far one can go is very important. Materials or items, like ABS, is juz to assist you.

Yes, I agree with you on some riders being too Gun Ho or overly confident about their bike performance or bike parts until they risk their life playing stunts on the road. Ultimately, safety still lays in the hands of the rider and not on the equipment. Equipments are there to assist the riding but there are not to prevent accident.

I think Bro cyrix have answered some of your query.

As for the searching part, is because most of the bro here are getting tired of repeating themselves on the same questions and answers.

Anyway searching can be done out side of the forum. You will be amazed with what the internet has to offer.

With the right name (example Power Commander), and the right tool (example Google), you maybe able to get the answer(s) you need.

My search return www.powercommander.com/ as the 1st result.

Unless you have done your research and want to know more with some configurations or settings, I think most of the bro here should be able to help. (Provided they know).

Most of the bros here may give the silent treatment if the question has been answered or too simple that it can be found on the internet. Which can lead to this thread to be Unfriendly and Selfish.

Turn up for the meet up, the bros here will be able to answer all your doubts and questions no matter how ridiculous they are hahah.

I'm on the Stradas and am happy with it. Till today after more than a year, looks little of wear and tear. Hahhaha

I guess it does pay to maintain tire pressure.

Anyway to add, there is a pattern with the tire prices. If you see carefully, the range of tires of the same price gives almost the same range. There is only a slight difference in performance between them. Some or many may disagree with this. Well thats my thoughts.

Anyway, the rule of thumb is, pay peanuts get monkey.

Next set...............Angel ST!!!! The upgrade from Strada.
