Exhaust....

From http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/lta_information_guidelines/modifications_and_vehoffences/modification_guide/modification_allowed_lta.html

The exhaust system, which consists of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and muffler, is used as part of a vehicle's exhaust emission control system to ensure that the exhaust emission meets our environmental requirements. Any modification to the exhaust system would therefore require LTA's approval. The following should be submitted to LTA for evaluation:

a) Certification from the product manufacturer stating that the proposed aftermarket exhaust system is suitable for the make and model of the vehicle.

b) Certifications or test reports from LTA/NEA recognised test laboratories to show that the aftermarket exhaust system when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards.

Note: Removing catalytic converters and mufflers are not allowed as it will adversely affect the exhaust emission characteristics of the vehicle.

Vehicle owners found modifying or tampering with the exhaust system may face a Court fine of up to $1,000 or 3 months' imprisonment upon conviction in Court.

If Unsure....call LTA....

the bottom part is a metal piece. pretty solid imho.

problem i foresee is the 3 bolt that is holding it down. not sure if they can take any more weight if its missing out the supporting rod below.

and also, for now, the current box is not waterproof. im still looking for a better box that is waterproof but not so costly.

You want waterproof and not costly?

Any meet up for this group? Had quite a fair bit of questions to ask for my new ride.

Had being enjoying it so far. No complains so far, one thing I love about this bike is the torque, even at low speed and high gear, the torque is amazing. So far I had only chalked up half at tank running at 200km already. Hope this is a good consumption.

Ya, now already 220km and still 3 bars left. Well, i did not ride that high speed actually, used it mostly to work and back which is one MRT station away. Weekends did travel to other places thou but not that far, very less highway travel.
