Since there are no other names on the list, I guess the lads auto-cancel. Do put your name in next time to avoid disappointment.

Sorry bros, auto-cancel cos of the heavy rain and i thought since only me and Lex were the only ones going.

My deepest apologies.

Just meet at 1pm so me and Lex can set up base of operations first? i need to open up my headlight. High beam not working. Hopefully just the high beam bulb or the fuse is blown and not the wiring connection is shorted out.

Anyway, does anyone know where to get Osram nightbreaker plus for a good price in Singapore? Autobacs is overpriced i heard.

Nice.. a meet up, maybe after the fasting month for me :) Anyway guys, was wondering anyone installed the HealTech Timing Retard Eliminator (X-TRE Power Box) before? Any effects on the bike? I'm not sure if this will bypass the RPM limit that we have for Suzuki bikes.

I installed the GIPro with ATRE. X-TRE I dun like as cutting of wires are necessary. I m more to fuel efficiency, which the device did do. Ohh ya it does help me to get rid of the flat spot near the 4k to 5k rpm.

If I might suggest, don't install it. If you really want to, get a Gi-Pro ATRE by the same company. According to Razi, X-TRE requires cutting of wire. Besides, the extra gear display makes a great addition to your meter cluster.

Ic ic.. Yah read that the X-TRE requires splicing but that's fine i guess if there are improvements to the bike. Interesting that the mapping actually improves the fuel efficiency. Anyway, the reason why I'm asking is that I recently tested the bike up north and it seems that there is rpm 11k limit for this bike (redline stopper). Maybe its a safety feature from suzuki to protect the engine from heavy stressing, I'm not really sure. I'm just curious whether this device will bypass that limiter. Not that I'm really concern about getting top, its more of understanding this baby.

But if it can improve performance at the lower end why not right? Anyways, thanks for your input bro!

Noted bro! Thanks. I'm just curious what add-ons are there for fuel efficiency / performance.

Dun get me wrong, I am sure it can get bypassed. Gear 5 mapping always talked about when it comes to bypassing. I can tell you that when on Gear 5 mapping, the feeling is SYOK! FC wise, not so syok. So I will stick to Gear 6 mapping. Happy only. Hahahha

Gotten this off a website. Hope it clears your doubts..

The TRE is a device which allows much better throttle response in the first 4 gears on EFI sportbikes. What the motorcycle manufacturers have done is make a separate ignition map for each gear. This has been done for either safety and/or emissions reasons. However, it limits the power and smoothness of your bike in the first half-turn of the throttle in gears 1 through 4. The motorcycle manufacturers were clever in the design of the stock timing retard: It still allows full timing at full throttle. As you shift up through the gears, the amount of throttle needed to access the advance curve decreases, until you make it to 5th gear and then it's gone - you have nice, smooth operation. The TRE makes your motorcycle respond just as smoothly in the lower gears.

The Gi-Pro Atre has both Gear Indicator as well as the timing retard eliminator. The X-tre only has the timing retard eliminator. However, Gi-Pro Atre is fully plug and play thus making it easily reversible whereas the X-tre requires some splicing to the ECU wires. Price wise the Gi-Pro Atre is slightly more expensive and yes, motovation accessories carries them. Also, the Atre/Xtre claims to removes the top limit as what I've mentioned before. Suzuki bikes have a built in safety top limiter either at rpm or speed, mine can't get past 11k rpm at full throttle. This will presumably remove it depending on the mapping selected for the bike.

Regarding whether PC3 is compatibile with the Atre, read it here - http://www.pashnit.com/product/gipro.html.

I have a DynoJet Power Commander III installed. Is there any reason to get an X-TRE?

Yes! The benefits are:

-The Power Commander can only re-map ONE ECM gear map. The X-TRE will compliment the Power Commander because it locks the ECM map in the unrestricted map, no matter which gear is selected.

-The Power Commander can adjust the FUEL map only, while the X-TRE disables the timing retarder used in lower gears.

-X-TRE will disable the speed limited on 1000cc+ Suzuki bikes while the Power Commander will not.

Please please understand what you want and need in a bike before getting any devices on your machine. Having it and not knowing how to use it could be very disasterous.

Make time so can read the manual carefully hehehehe

Ya lor best to retune again. Anyway how to do you (Not referring to Dervin only) know the shop will do a good job with the tuning? Tuning to me should be done by urself. Reason, you are the one riding the bike and not the machine. I'd prefer butt tuning method.

Did that before. I tune using BLR Icon2. Went for a Power run on the dyno machine. The curve was straight as hell, no flat spot. Hahaha. My butt did the job well. You will see those trackies will go round and round the track to get the best values for their Air-Fuel Controllers.

Then again I must warn you (Again not referring to Dervin only).....MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WAT U R DOING. Doing it wrongly will or may harm the engine or yourself.

Not necessarily. You can mod it urself. Only that the TRE mod won't be nice looking hahaha. There are lots of information on the internet about this. Juz need to map to Gear 6. Acceleration will not be so much. Anyway not going for race...so its ok with me. haahah
