My fast idle was at 2k ever since I took over the bike, is it normal or should I adjust it to 1.5k according to the manual?

No harm at 2k...only that the sound could be too much hahha. 1.5k is just nice for warming up the bike. Easy to do.

With stock pipes won't be so noisy but with aftermarket pipes, sounds like the bike is screaming, think maybe the next DIY session, some seniors can guide me on how to re adjust the idling screw

Check your fast idle and idle timing. What are the timing like? Manufacturer recommendation is 1.5k for fast idle and for idle timing will be 1.1k to 1.3k any lower expect the bike to stall.

As for your oil, you are using viscosity grade 40...To me too thin for bikes older than 3 years. If yours still new, should be OK. Do monitor your EO level. If the level goes down, you will need to top up. Maybe next Oil change go for viscosity grade 50.

i check my idling its around 1.2k so i tink its should b alright?

now its back to normal again after two days of difficulty starting.

thanks for ur advice bro

hi im ridding 600 too, always pump shell 95 from jb. consumption range from 21-23 km/l for me. the furthest i went is 370km per tank.

PWHATTT?!!!!! Max was 370km / full tank?!!!!! INSANE BRO!! Woah I am genuinely surprised. Have owned a GSR600 for about 2 months now. I usually top up when I have 2-bars on my speedo yet. Usually top-up about 10-11.5L when this happen. Means I got about 5 more litres in the tank right? Since the max fuel tank cap of the bike is 16.5L, correct? My mileage when I top-up is around ~200 km +/- 5km. So I am guessing by consumption is between 17km/l to 20.5km/l.

As of now, I still not confident in handling a big bike like GSR (i was previously riding a cl2b bike) with super low fuel in the tank. I have rarely left the fuel indicator blink with 1 bar left. I have never left the fuel amount lower than 1 bar before. Just to check bros, do you think given my bike's fuel consumption, I can push the distance to 250 - 260km per full tank? I mean compared to bro ryanryanryan's wooping 370km distance run! Haha, what's your secret bros?? I'm not agressive on the throttle, my usual cruising speed from woodlands to ntu (abt 20km run) is about 100km/h on non-peak period. I only pump 95 shell. Tips bros?!

Hahah Maybe you can maintain at 90km/h or 80km/h? Anyway those speed also legal speed on expressway. It will help with the FC. The best for my GSR750 is 355km before it blinks to tell me that about 2 liters left. So if maths is correct, should give me until 390km or more +/- before fuel runs out totally.

Not gonna try that as I hate to burn out the fuel pump that will equal money out of pocket hahahha.

Me on 98 Shell.

i was previously ridding yamaha x1 for one year and nsr sp for 4 years b4 i upgraded to gsr6. same as u from 2b str to cls 2.i just started riding this gsr in late may. my work place is 30km away from my house which mean i travel 60km per day. average speed abot same as u 100 to 120. normally i change gear 1 to 3 at rpm4 and the rest at rpm 5 or 6. mayb u change at a higher rpm for each gear? i think that makes a difference in fc IMHO.

if im not wrong, the last bar can last me for at least another 50km. ya i always go in jb with one bar or one blinking bar haha.

ur one full tank petrol definitely can reach 300km.

Ohh ya forgot to add, to get good FC, muz do it with Gear 6 most of the time...Cruising mode....less petrol used up...if you notice, gear 5 and 6, gear 6 not that aggressive when you accelerate quickly.

What Bro ryanryanryan says true, around the 4k rpm when in the lower gears. DO NOT gun the throttle but do it smoothly and gently. Once guned, FC not so good already.

My best FC so far......(maybe fasting month, so bike fasting also)

Average around 100km/h; Distance from home to work = 24.5km x 2 trip = 49km

Pump petrol to full - 14.85 liters (full tank will be 17.5 liters)

Trip meter - 348.1

Onboard FC calculation - 23.9km/l

Odometer - 23909

Own calculation = 348.1 / 14.85 = 23.44km/h (if true, can hit 427.7km before runs dry)

Woah.. Woah... It actually hurts... to know that a 750cc bikes fc is better than a 400c bike... What sorcery is this?
