which bike shop?

Loois, worse than Speedway. I bought the bike for $15k in 2010 and "found" out they store it since 2007, still claim have to sell me ex due to current yen high. What a sale tactic. Forget to give me this and that, only remember to give me a helmet which i dun want. Overall I think it ok till recently cannot early settlement. Battery and tires give way within 2 years due to long storage.

Yesterday, I had a shock when riding high speed at expressway then FI light up and slowly lose power and die off. After that, is cannot start with Key light up. Realise is my weak battery as my voltage meter only 10v or less. Pray is not fuel injector or ECU. After getting help to start, again only got 11.3v. Change rectifier cost $238. I wonder is rectifier caused battery weak or vice versa. Why so fast spoilt :( My mileage is around 5k only

the bat is already weak due to long storage... 3 yrs is very long time to store a charge battery.. due to the bat state.. the rectifier have to work double time ie chargin up the bat and the electricals of the bike... in turns spoilt the rectifier... checked the coils for overload...suspect that also gone already... just to be safe

hi, mine is also facing the same problem..18L can go only 250km including reserve...what mine be the problem?

your is gsr4 or gsr6? fuel tank is 16.5Litres.

The only reason why I'm not laughing with you is that I prefer laughing at you.

urs also gsr600? the fuel consumation so jialet? or is there anything wrong?

I dun think anything is wrong with the bike. Should be roughly correct...as I am guessing your heavy wrist control. Easy on the wrist and should be able to see improvement on the FC. I think the best for the 600 I have heard so far is 20km/l. Distance do play apart also. If there are a lot of cruising, should be able to get better mileage.

If on the 400, should be getting around 280 - 290km before going into reserve. Unless, again heavy wrist...then confirm cannot get that mileage.

On the 400 previously always clock around 21km/l. I'm on the 750 now, everyday will cover about 50km distance. Getting about 22km/l due to light wrist control.

Hey bro, for maintaining i guess is about the same because also using engine oil, filter and spark plugs. But parts might be true because GSR is not having alots on the road. But Suzuki is a rough bike. Think twice. BTW i also riding GSR for only 7 months, i see any problem in maintaining a GSR compair to Super 4. Further more GSR looks nicer than Super 4 and also my point of view is Super 4 is now like having too many on the road which makes it look normal.

Hahaha. thnks bro! But its more like a mini compartment then boot

Another quick qns, if say we install after market exhaust like LV or Yoshi, do we need to go for tuning ( Air Flow Etc )? And will it affect FC much ?

during the install process, the mech will do it for u.. just a minor one will do.. FC actually depends on ur hand twist..

1st - Bajaj Pulsar 180i

2nd - Yamaha FZ 150i

3rd - Suzuki GSR 400

4th - Suzuki GSXR 1000 K9

5th - Kawasaki Versys 1000 (Current)

Could it be that the light bulb on the immobiliser faulty?

gsr tire more exp than super's

Yes because they use fatter tires than S4.

FC might be affected slightly. It then depends on the rider since the throttle will feel slightly lighter. Not necessary to go for tuning as you are only changing the endcans.

Ok. Will changing the endcans affect the pickup ? Eg. Low end power sacrifice for high end gain ? Because for cars i know that changing the muffler will cause lost in the low end and gains in the high end.

hi all. would like to ask a question. my gsr400 almost reaching 100 000km. do i need to do 'extra' servicing or something? coz whenever i throttle to about 5k rpm, it start to vibrate more. then when i pull abit more to 6k rpm above, the vibration is not much as compare to 5k rpm. anybody knows whats the problem?
