On the carb front... The 24G is indeed off the T5... you won't get one in SG... the one TA will sell is a 24E... Just make sure that when they install the bigger carb for you they enlarge the hole on the carb box to match the new carb.

Jetting wise, you should get the carb with stock jetting for a px200... ie. 160(air corrector)BE3(mixer tube)116(main jet)... and a 160/55 (I think... idlejet)

What main jet you need will depend on the kit and how "tonged" your exhaust gets... A main jet costs like 7 bucks or something... so just figure out what people tend to use with a pinasco setup and a 24/24e carb... I can't advise as most all my knowledge is about the 200 engine...

Is it possible that you could have stuff delivered elsewhere ??(eg I don't mind you sending an exhaust to my office [can pass to TA for you]. I reckon the sito+ will give you more bang for your buck than a tong exhaust....

Mind you though... do be aware that when you increase the size of your carb you are decreasing your acceleration in favour of a higher top speed. If its topend speed you want, then go 24/24.... if you want peppy acceleration, stick with your current carb and just put a bigger main jet in it....

The uni filter is a big debate... basically folks have taken off their stock filter and the rubber bellows that connects the carb box to the frame... and then put a foam pod filter on the carb box.... Is it worth doing... I say not really... just check that you've drilled your filter (there's a thread on stellaspeed about that at the moment) and you should be fine.

Happy tuning :)

Hey Peggy... hope you don't end up selling. It'd be a shame not to ride scoots anymore! :)

Hope you're mending fast.

Morning ppl! Geez its really quiet in here. Thank u James...again. See u have an "addiction" for beer, will get u some if we meet to return the favour. Mine's caffeine, I NEEED IT.

Guess I'll stick to stock then, prefer to have the accerleration. Having 2nd tots about the pinasco also, to fully utilise it will require porting the casing. It Singapore that will be a bad idea, unlike oversea u could drop in another one if it goes wrong, the inspection will definately not make it here. If I can't fully fully utilise it, may as well not get it. Just rebuild the engine then.

You can slap a kit on any time.... so, yeah, no rush...

The port matching is less of an issue on the 150's than it is on the 200... you'll still get a decent performance boost from the Pinasco....

The optimistic view from doc is that it'l take at least 6 months to mend. But hard to say. Might have to keep off riding for at least a year, could be longer. Cos I can't even drive now, much less ride.

Will see how lah....

May sell first then when I'm ready then look for another scoot.

Just spend $150 on an ET4 fork.... pickup is at 6pm.. just hope its all there (had to buy sight unseen!!!!)

Was hoping to pay less than $150.... but oh well... there aren't that many ET8's being scrapped just yet... in a few years I bet the ET8 forks will be going for about $80-90 like the skipper ones are....

Gremlin... you can only use autolube if you have an autolube engine... I was asking as since when you put a kit on an autolube bike there's no need to add more oil... but for a premix you should run 3% with a kit.... buy Fully Synth Oil. Its cheap over at Lim Ah Boy.

Hi James, yup heard of that also. Tot there is a autolube new invention I've been missing out. How is the hunt for the et8 forks? any luck with the 57-60mm crank mod? it seems that the most popular crank mods are the mazz 6omm and theres this worb 5 special lip crank that seem to do wonders. Have not totally understand the mechanism behind how the crank mod will improve performance yet, still reading. There are more articles re carbs, kits and exhausts than cranks.
