Use paint remover only on shiny aluminium parts that is laquer coated..for example cyclinder head, lower fork slider..etc. Use with caution though.

Yes..with GREAT CAUTION indeed. Tge minute you open the can and lift the seal lid..it's gonna "POP!" and suddenly you likely get needle poking pain around your arms or even face (careful your eyes). This goes to shown how "evapourative" and "acidic" the 'chemical is.

So any part to be done is not isolated..or quickly washed off with water..you are had!

No, thinner is not paint remover though it does...but rather wear the paint off slowly. Paint remover "burns" the paint out almost instantly like Maggie Mee..."fast to cook, good to eat".

No brand concren lah..all the same..can get from normal HDB hardware shop..$2.00 or so only..you want brand...there is one call "Kangaroo".

so in other terms u use e paint remover to remove e paint den use e polisher to crome e part issit ? sry i new to this so ask alot of q

Yes...paint on the paint remover on it and instantly the paint start to burn out..leave for a whole min or 2. After that immediately wash off that area with lots of water. You can see bare shinny aluminium. Polish with meugaire polish paste to a brighter shine..this is not "chroming".

but i got rim stickers on it right now.. very siong to peel off leh... the paint remover can help in peeling it off?

No...use lighter fluid (use for old lighters)..brand like Ronson...yah..can be found in mama shop oso. Just peel a little and squirt some under and let it soak for awhile..the sticky adhesive be disolved off.

ok here are some pictures and explaination/materials i use to share...

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/deedeeboi/footrest.jpg

ok, here are the footrest, swingarm and rear rims

Materials use for all parts:- Meguir's Polysh Wax (refer last thread),Newspaper(as cloth),Greenpad (After Math of applyin the paint remover),Glove (you wouldnt want to hurt urself with the paint),Sandpaper (1,2,,,,LOTS), Tape (for marking).Autosol...

The Process:- Use the paint remover to remove the lacquer/paint and after applying it, use the green pad and scrub it off.Do this step multiple of times until ur sick of doing it.After every single lacquer is off, use another green pad and scrub it with the green pad and later with the sandpaper from the roughest to the smoothest.Repeat until you see the difference.(It took me 3 hours to be satisfied). The product will then turn out shiny..but it isnt over yet.One you remove all the autosol fibre and dust, make sure the surface is dry. Then comes the MEGUIRS Wax to come in.I think it cost 16 bucks at D.I.Y HomeFix.Scrub it again and again and TADAAAA!..It shines !!!..

P/s: Don't stop and think that you will do another day..Coz u'll be really lazy to do it..trust me...halfway you will be thinking why in the whole wide world i wanna high polish my rims or whutever..Just keep on doing.Do one thing at a time coz this takes weeks yaw!.

This is the way i do my high polish.Anyone will like to share their way?

some pics

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/deedeeboi/enginecase.jpg

Engine Casing:- Didnt take out the whole casing,Just did the outer line of it.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/deedeeboi/fork.jpg

Fork,Front Rim :- Use tape for a lil more accurate lining.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/deedeeboi/fuelcap.jpg

Fuel Cap :- Be very careful when doin this..Paint remover might slip to ur paintwork and dats it!..Be careful with the sand paper also..:)

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/deedeeboi/part1.jpg

Left Side of the Casing

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/deedeeboi/pillionhandle.jpg

Pillion Handlebar:- I thought of removing it..But IT looks way better with high polish..p/s:- make sure ur pillion doesnt grip hold of it..conferm you tu lan!..hahahah

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/deedeeboi/daddys.jpg

Ok This one belongs to my dad..also another high polish siao but he doesnt ride a cb400..an ex-verS rider..now he rilek already..Also did the same thing as me..He is my Cikgu!..

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/deedeeboi/cythrea.jpg

and now the overall view..

thats the best that i can share with ya'll!..feel free to post ur ways of doing it..then maybe i can learn the easier way!..hahah..

CHEERS!,
