(1) Register the ownership of your new GSR400 to the someone who wants to sell you the number plate.

(2) Tell/pay him to transfer the number plate from the old bike to your new GSR400.

(3) Transfer the ownership of your GSR400 back to you.

P.S: Best is to get the bike shop you're buying the new GSR to help in doing the transfer.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

correct mi if i'm wrong... but i think if the bike is under instalment, the bike cannot be transferred to another party as LTA will have records that the bike is still under hire purchase........

Better way is do reverse:

buy the bike with old plate you want.

register it on the new gsr400 bike think is 100 bucks for lta fee.

done.

transfer back old bike with the new replace plate to the original owner.

like this your new bike still zero transfer. old bike nevermind de la

btw i might want to sell my plate. interested? pm mef or details

aah.. a potential new GSR member. The items you want are actually cosmetics and in my view, should not be a priority. You should spend money on sliders and brakelines.

anyway, i miss wildcard.

I agree it is better not because it is cheaper but it is safer especially if u do not know the seller. The cost of doing that is $100 plus transfer fees for the bike.
