i like alphinestar too, but beyond my budget. I looking at more like magnum, Gaerne or Forma brands touring boots - mid range pricing, water proof & maximum protection & comfortable to wear whole day shopping or climbing waterfalls. Thanks anyway.

Congratulations... a new Boldorian is born , hehehe...

Yr bike looks newer than mine from the pic. New tires also...

I think the mirror need to adjust so that the width same as handle bar width.

Ya the fairing makes it look big, plus the rear or side box - it'll look almost like a big bike (not medium bike).

Main stand is useful for washing, lubing & also tire self repair.

My main stand from Motorworld, can't remember $120 or $150 - must check the other SBF threads on accessories. But its not too good - coz if i sit on it while the main stand is down, the main stand legs will split wider permanently & the bike will sink down.

Other than this , I dun have any complaints on the main stand. But if i am not wrong, after installing the main stand, you cannot install the long type of belly pan. The short type maybe still can - but must confirm.

so is the the main stand stable? cant sit on the bike and push down la? dun think i will install the belly pan on my bike.

anyway, OT abit...just wan ask u guys whether u all travel on the first lane or cut thru the expressway on ur bike.

Had a terrible experience on TPE on the way home from work today, was travelling on the first lane and maintaining a safetly distance of a car length on first lane at abt 100-110km/h. Then there was this car tailgating me for very long, after which he change to second lane and came beside me opening his window pointing middle finger at me. I couldnt hear wtf he was trying to say but i think he was trying to tell me to keep to second lane or squeeze in between the vehs and go infront...in the end i heck care him as i was nearing my exit.

So i just wondering why some driver so fa-rking impaitent and wad's wrong with bike staying on the first lane, i just dun feel comfortable squeezing thru with the mirrors on my new bike at the moment. So wad if u overtake one veh, so fast can u reach ur distination with so many traffic lights on the road, still lan lan have to wait.

With my kind of main stand, I can't sit & push down. Maybe the original Honda main stand can do that.

I usually go first lane also (outest most) , keep a distance between front & back. If car behind come too close, I 'll just overtake the front car by squeezing thru traffic if necessary. But if there is no front car & the rear car seems in a hurry; I 'll try to let him over take. I always check my rear mirror for approaching cars.

I also travel about 100-110km/hr - just below the VTEC cuts in. I try not to let the VTEC cuts in/out repetitively too often - its either cuts in & stay ON; or cuts out totally. Coz I afraid the Relay or Solenoid that drives the VTEC will burn out if ON/OFF repetitively.

savio27 there r lots of nasty drivers so if u see cars trying 2 get pass just move out and let them thur then if u want u can switch bk again. stupid idiots see bike as small thing. every time i get out e way then later cut them bk again haha tat's e more shiok feeling.

i got a female driver changing fr e right of e lane going up to e ngee ann flyer over just to my name cos i think she got e wrong exit and i had to e brake. i blew at her and idiot just pretend nothing happen. later on got a taxi tat just cut into my lane again and i kept glaring at him n i was already over speed limit on a 60km rd in e ctr lane. am just abt to complain to e taxi coy. sheesh just stepped on my tail on e wrong day when am so tired.

well there are always idiotic drivers around...

and i would say, the drivers also always complained about riders... there are always black sheeps around...

for me, because of my 2 40litres side panniers, i can really do much of squeezing nowadays, so if i feel like a slow ride, i will pull to the extreme left and follow behind heavy vehicles so no one will horn or flash at me... but when i am in the mood for speed, i will still let the ignorance have a taste of the tuned-down R1 engine... :cheeky:

considering the general road users in SG, we still have a big room for improvement...

until i come over to Abu Dhabi... the drivers here are alot worst than ours... maybe because most of them drives really big car, and like i always say, the bigger the car, the bigger their ego... :nono:

Tim ...

I think ur stand also can do the same thing..... only thing is that u nvr try before...

and scare it will break...

but trust me ....

the stand is strong than u think....

And u are much lighter than me....

I teach a few of my friend this "sleep on bike"

even wave 125 also can do the same thing....

And my friend see me do it in dam and they also follow....

cause it feel good.... and when u waiting (night time) for people to come....

lay down look at the sky i think is the best thing to do....

To sleep on the bike u have to temp take out the box.... and put it at the side of ur bike....

use the rack base plate as pillow....

sit as bed and handerbar as leg rest....

after that last time when i with my S4(ex-wife) i sometime go dam....

lay down and sleep for awhile ....

and the feeling is very good...

"CK" also see before i did it that at dam....

i tried sitting on bike once when main stand is down, the stand's legs bend or something - the bike sinks permanently & the rear tire touches the floor...it can't be rotate freely . So I went back to Motorworld , paid them $10 to weld a 1cm thick iron block below the main stand legs to raise the height again. This mainstand from Motorworld is not strong - can't take my weight it seems.

:sian:

--------------------

btw it seems from TV & weather forecast its still raining everyday in jb. But flooding is occuring only in certain places like kota tinggi & the road between kulai & kota tinggi only.

Nevertheless, in 10 days time or first saturday of feb - shall we go Taman U A&W? If you not get yr class 2 yet - can ask yr cousin to pillion u? I think the lonely rider club & anime thread people will be coming also.

yah, i was told by friends the dubai is developing at breakneck speed... abu dhabi is alot more straight forward... so far have been driving without a street directory, relying maining landmarks and instincts since the city planning here is pretty nicely done... still will 'holland' from time to time... but eventually still managed to get to where i want to go...

yeah, would love to visit dubai when you are here the next time... let me know when the date is confirmed...
