BEACH HUNTING TRIP - AIR PAPAN, JAYSON BAY, PENYABONG & SECRET BEACH ON 12TH MAY

0800hr: GP esso

0830hr: Depart to Kulai

0900hr: Eating breakfast in Kulai

0930-1300hr: Travel from Kulai to Jason Bay --> Secret Beach --> Mersing

1300-1400hr: Fish curry lunch in Mersing

1400-1700hr: Air Papan --> Penyabong beach -->labong Lake.

1700-1900hr: Depart to Singapore

 

Distance : Total 565km = 349km (Journey to Penyabong) 216km (Return journey)

Max speed: 80km/hr on trunk roads, 140km/hr on NShighway.

 

 

NOTE

1. We going there regardless of weather forecast. At most we'll wait for rain to stop (approximately 1hr nowadays)

2. Do have enough sleep for that day - don't come there after night shift, coz road conditions very curvy & need full concentration.

3. Please put your names below. If you can't go at last minute , do sms me out of coutesy. But do try your best if committed. Entry is closed once got max 7 confirmed people, coz too big crowd is hard to handle. Entries closes at 9pm on friday nite. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

:cheeky: Quota for the trip exceeded. Should i increase quota? More than 7 people now & still growing. Should i freezed registration or bring forward cut off date to tonite? Worried the group will keep growing & growing.

SPECIAL NOTES TO ADVENTURERS WHO IS GOING BEACH HUNTING THIS SATURDAY.

 

1. Change yr malaysian currency in advance in spore. I dun think the money changer at GP esso opens at 8am.

2. Our group will depart punctually from GP esso at 8.30am sharp to kulai.

3. Bring along rain gears.

4. Have enuff sleep otherwise you will feel sleepy riding under hot sun. Very suffering & dangerous. Hear of microsleep anyone?

5. Check yr air pressure & water coolant the nite before. Lube yr chain also.

6. Drink lots of water during the trip to avoid dehydration. Riding under sun makes you dehydrated - which either makes you headache or light headed (unsafe)

 

Any other things to add from anyone?

So sorry to inform you that the waterfall in your posted picture is not in Malaysia. It is most likely to be Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia.

NEW Price List from TP...

Be careful on the road. It's not cheap.

Price increase without further notice.

Speeding:

Exceeding 1 - 20km/h = $130 + 4 demerit points.

Exceeding 21 - 30km/h = $150 + 6 demerit points.

Exceeding 31 - 40km/h = $180 + 8 demerit points.

Exceeding 41 - 50km/h = >$200 + 12 demerit points + Court.

Exceeding 51 - 60km/h = >$200 + 18 demerit points + Court.

Exceeding >61km/h = >$200 + 24 demerit points + Court.

If you want to be hero and fight the court case yourself, and you lose, you pay the court charges yourself, which will add up to your fine. I guess the court charges is at least $200 and above.

Careless driving = $150 + 6 demerit Points.

Inconsiderate Driving = $170 + 9 Demerit Points + Court.

Dangerous Driving = >$200 + 24 Demerit Points + Court + Vehicle Compounded.

Illegal Racing = >$200 + Vehicle Confiscate + Court.

Fail to put Seat Belt = $120 + 3 demerit points.

Crossing Double White lines = $130 + 4 points.

Phone and Drive = $200 + 12 demerit point + Phone Confiscate. Do not hold your hp in your hand when you drive even with loud speaker or ear piece.

Drink Driving

For first offence. = Up to $5000 Fine And, or jail Term + License Suspended + Court.

2nd time offence = Jail term + Fine + Court.

Making an illegal U Turn when there ' s no U Turn sign = $70.

Fail to Signal when changing lanes = $70.

Driving at night without headlights or taillights switch on after 7pm = $30.

No Number Plate = $70.

Obstructed Number Plate = $70.

Obscured Number Plate = $70.

Number Plate Of Unapproved Type = $70.

As for Demerit Point system:

Let ' s say you have 0 points on 1st January 2005, and you committed the offence of Failing to Put on Seat Belt. So now, you will have 3 demerit points and this will last for 1 Year. If during this 1 year you have no demerit points offence at all, your 3 demerit points will be gone on 1/1/2006. But, if during this one year, From 1/1/2005 - 1/1/2006, you committed another offence with demerit points, your very first offence will be extended for another year until 1/1/2007.

Drive well - and save money :-)

the only possible off road maybe is the secret beach part. I not sure got paved road from the jetty to the secret beach. Well, actually if there is no paved road, only got human trodden trail , i dun think i want to ride my bike thru unless i see other bike tire tracks on the ground. But if ground is bumpy, then we skip going inside. :smile:
