Hi Uncle Keiyong,

 

Finally got my hugger fixed. The picture as promised. But unfortunately, the belly pan they don't have anymore so most prob next week going to LAB to check it out... cos the price motorworld quoted is too expensive, somemore the belly pan is not even sprayed to shiny black...

Anyways with regards to this hugger thing, there seems to be quite a significant gap between the plastic cover and chain. So that means, the chain lube is more likely to fly all over your rims and dirty it, as compared to the original casing cover.

Oh, I would like to share with bold'or riders this thing I found at Dexing motors (ubi branch)... Its a SUPER BOLD'OR RIDING GLOVE!

Basically, its a original honda product and comes in 3 colors: black, red and blue. FYI, the black already sold out due to someone MO, still have the red ones and a few blues. RRP: S$60... uppzz!

 

Damn cool when I first saw it, I just had to lay my hands on it, even though I haven't done any prior research or looked around other places for it. To me, $60 for a original honda riding gloves sounds reasonable enough lah...

 

Also, I happen to see one uncle (i mean really uncle... balding and few strands of white hair... hahaha) riding the bold'or cb400 red/white version there. Wearing riding jacket plus a HJC full face, supposedly to pay installments there I think. Are you here ah chek? Cannot possibly be uncle keiyong right? cos he's riding the black one... Anyway he put box behind the bold'or, then got the mesh netting, plus a tank bag in front... Eeeeeee...

Hehe anyways, i got mine hugger fixed for $50.

 

Point to note though, some huggers are made of different materials. Some are in normal plastics, but mine is made from a sort of fibre-like material that is quite easily bended. Exact differences in terms of durability... etc, I'm not quite sure. As long it fulfills its intended purpose, it is good enough for me.

anyway yoshi firespec is one with rainbow like colour at the connecting part with the exhaust from the end can...

 

titanium is the more common one that looks like normal matt metal finishing...

 

carbon fiber.. just carbon fiber... kekeke...

 

tri-oval is a triangular end can instead of the usual round ones...

 

all are refering to the finishing at the end can...

 

first hand normal full system is $1550 retail price, trioval is $1650.

 

can go down to motorworld and you will know exactly what they are already...

You are quite right. I saw an S4 with chrome FS yoshi and it looks really attractive, but like what you said it means more worries when she's out of your sight as it'll be just as attractive to itchy hands and people wth ill intentions it is so much more tempting.

i would say since you are the buyer, the most important thing is they you like it.

 

for me, I would say if you are not concern with the price tag, good for the full system. the one thing that i really hate about S4 is the header paint will come off and eventually rust. a full system will take care of that problem.

 

in terms of sound wise, i personally like full system better. it is more 'bassy'. it also comes with better power boost to you bike.

I just scratched my exhaust today. There was this Kips parked very close to my bold'or and apparently when I tried to straighten my bike to move off, the pipe brushed against the pillion foot peg and there was this sickening sound. I knew something bad had happened then. When I got down to check, there was this ugly scar on my pipe. Fcuk.

 

Anyone knows how to get rid of it? or make it less visible for that matter?

 

Any help would be much appreciated...

you can send it for rewarping at seng kwang...

 

but that will cost you some money... judging from what you advise Qaihonda, i suppose you will not go spend that money since a stratch-free end can is not able to fill your stomach either...

almost dropped my bike while trying to park just now, stupid carpark too few bike lots the ones left is open air and flooded. i hate upstairs cos i dun feel safe cos my friend's exhaust had been stolen upstairs. even the other space that i can park 'illegally' oso got bikes and one stupid bike had to kinda park almost parallel taking up the space of 2 bikes. so inconsiderate!!!

 

complained to HDB til now no reply. think i will harass them til i hear fr them...so pissed off!!!
