Wahahaha... eh relac lah uncle yeong, I not easily get offended one... besides, I already kenna flamed alot by some in other threads. That's the way how some forumers are, being anal and all that, but... if thats the way it is, then thats how it will stay. Nothing much I can do about it anyway.

Anyway kennethy, IF we were to have bold'or outing, pls feel free to join lah... like I said, "small and tight" (o_O" - dun think dirty pls... hehe) group is just nice lah... don't suddenly one whole platoon or company of people come then it will get quite messy and a bit outta hand I guess... :giddy:

Sorry I digress, I joined the forum to learn more things abt motorbikes and pick up tips from you guys, also to meet fellow enthusiasts with similar interests. But I am also entitled to voice my own opinion which might not go down well with others. Fine lah, no problem. Once the dust settles down, let it be lah and dun whine like a baby and all that, damn immature loh...

Don say like thatma..Singapore so small got to go round how many times? Even though I use NS highway, to run in properly have to vary my speed/rpm and make constant stops to avoid long periods of constant rpm. Actually I enjoyed the stops as the scenery in Malaysia is lovely..especially with the BolDor in the foreground.

Have another problem though... bought a IU pouch but cant remove the IU. Its secured by some special kind of scew. The screw groove is neither cplus or minus. Its in the shape of a mercedes logo.. any idea how or where to get that kind of screw driver?

of course i appreciate the maturity of this thread...

the older i get, the better i appreciate hanging out with people of my frequency.

having said so, i can perfectly understand that very moment where you just full throttle to pit with the other biker (also S4?)

during our sane and clear mind, nothing of this sort will condone. but being perfect human, all of us will have such moments...

i recalled myself have a race with a honda jazz one on of the late nite. both of us drag up to at least 140km/h on normal sg road over taking each other from time to time

if caught, can really kiss my license goodbye... after that also told myself never in my right mind will i do it again... :cheeky:

dunno how much it cost as my purchase price includes installation. am quite sure alot of bikeshops can install it for you. maybe $10 - $15 since it does not take very long. about 10 mins job.

the screw is a special one, mine is also the same screw as yours and is installed by Seng Kwang. if my memories serves me correct, those screws are somewhat related to LTA so it is not commonly available.

can't wait for my brake pumps to be installed

will be awaiting for your feedback...

but a personal word of advise. i think sometime dun have to 'overdo' on the braking system as too powerful braking system may not be always a good thing, esp for smaller bikes like S4.

in my humble opinion, brakeline is a must as the stock will expand over time.

other than that, the rest like flower disk, branded brake pads or pump kits may not be really practical on S4.

firstly, what are the speed that you will be travelling to require such powerful braking? (i will not make this statement if riding a class 2 high power bike)

secondly, your braking system will maximise its effect only if your tyres are able to grip the road just as well; if not you will end up skiding too. (class 2 bike also have better tyres to compliment the braking system).

i learnt this while taking my class 2 at SSDC. even with the usual amount of strength i use to tap on the rear brakes as my S4, most of the time my rear wheel will skid abit or even fishtail. took me a long time to analyse and realise it is due to the quality of the tyres (the school bikes use hard compound typres unlike ours with soft compound that really grips the road after warming up).

i will certain expect some to argued that in some very sudden situation, you need all the braking you need.

my counter statement is simple; defensive riding and being alert. no amount of braking power will be sufficient if one is a reckless riding to start with.

and honest, thoughout my riding experience, i had only once performed a hard braking to avoid accident (when i was a new rider and failed to keep safety distance on expressway).

i also feel that somehow, with better braking system, rider tend to be more complacent and do more late brakings which is the complete opps of what one should do.

keeping safety distance and slowing down at junctions sure beats powerful brakes.

i have actually bought EBC brake pads but have not use it as i am currently very happy with my $15 a pair of normal brake pads.

for your considersations...

thks for the info. reason why i got the pump was cos it's universal which means tat i can oso use it on other bikes. stock brake pads r good and is definitely better w aft mkt brake hose. will let u know how it feels.

then again i might use the hose on my blade hehe

dun mention... i always like their aftersales service so have a few of the metal works done up there (for my ERP bracket, suspension protector, exhaust protector).

the are specialised in metal works so they are able to custom make for you just about anything you need.

when you going to flush your coolant again? if possible, will like to DIY with you...

i brought mine to one of the bikeshop and they really did not do a good job; just drain the coolant 2 times and fill up with tap water... :giddy:
