me ah...well i guess it's my nature loh....promotion haiz dun even talk abt it.....damn pek chek

leave haiz dun even know when i can clear.

From my years of experience...cheh!.....people who work hard never do it for promotion...it is usually out of dedication and the desire to get a job done well. People who have eye on promotion usually work smart...do minimum but get maximum exposure and credits.

In the short term, the "work smart" ones seem to be the winners but don't worry all...after time it will all surface and the true winners will get their just rewards.

Personally, best is to enjoy your work and get maximum satisfaction after a job well done....promotion or not is left to the wisdom of our boses. After work, relief stress by getting on our boldors and cruise!

Have a great weekend everyone, cruise safely.

Well spoken like an old head, uncle keiyong... but i have to disagree with you on people working hard is not just to get a promotion. Maybe you speak for a small minority of people in certain industries... like an airline pilot? I don't know. At least for me and a host of others, we work hard is because we (in chinese saying) will always look up and climb. That is to say work continually towards a higher level, for better pay and a better life. But by doing that, we can also achieve job satisfaction also mah.

People who work smart will also get to where people who work hard get to. The only difference is they employ different styles. As far as society goes, there will always be a continuum - smart workers to hard workers. Whether they can get far or not, ultimately depends a lot on other external factors besides their work attitude.

I think anything goes here la..anyone want to organise, nobody will complain...but participation a bit difficult to gauge. I worked today and just got back at midnight so always out of sync with normal" people...sori, but if I happen to be around and free sure will join. Ok, time to tidur...good nite or should Iay good morning all.
