its a place to see and to be seen... kekeke...

 

that place used to be more quiet... but now too noisy and packed with people... kind of missed the good old days where you can just go there chill out, have a little make-shift BBQ and bit of fishing (without cars / bike speeding pass and scarying all the fishes away)...

Yo everyone!

 

"Today I'm free 'cause I'm having "off"! Bwahahahaha!....." :p

 

Wah seh... Last night finally finished my NDP duty but crashed to sleep last night once reached home at around 12am, though was thinking of going to the Dam there to see whether can spot any people from SBF or not..... :giddy:

 

Bro tt6389, cannot lah... I'm not the kind of person who'll just go find a spot at the Dam there and switch on my LEDs and stand next to it... People might think I'm looking for "trouble", show-off... :p Unless I got a couple of friends that also switch on their LEDs then different lah... Hahahaha!... :smile:

 

Consider this a formal proposal for a get-together (unlike my previous post which it's too late too informal...), how's a gathering at the Dam on this coming Saturday 12 Aug night at 12am? I'll be there to anchor the gathering.

 

The purpose of the gathering is just to bring faces and names to the nicks that we've always been interacting with. As of now I really can't think much other than the get-together to say "hello", but it's open to the floor what other ideas or plans that you think should incorporate on that night... Maybe to bring along passport for a short trip to the other land?... Anyway, still got more than 48hrs for everyone's input...

 

I don't think I'll need to come out a list here to indicate who wants to come or not right? I'll definitely be there, as for others if you are there you are there then...

 

BTW, will this be consider a first ever Bol'Dor get-together? If it is, I'll certainly hope there'll be a good turnout then... Heehee... Oh, that being said, other makes of bikes of people who view this thread are also welcome to come for the gathering lah... I don't think the people here are that "dao" one lah... :smile:

 

Hey!... I just got an idea!... I was thinking maybe I can get Dr Guru a.k.a. Dennis to "grace" the event? Maybe he can start to help people fix their bikes there sia (Donno will get into trouble or not?... :p)... What about going to esplanade firework at 9pm first , then go JB for petrol & supper? We'll also go to JB Carrefour there (end of Tebrau Highway) , next to it got Durian Fair - just see see only. On the way back, we'll pass through the Dam. By the time, almost 12am.

 

This trip is good for those who never visit JB town on bike before, can learn the route & directions to some of JB 's shopping Malls & good makan area. Traffic condition in JB at this time will be minimal, so ppl can focus on learning the route, rather than avoiding heavy traffic in unfamiliar place.

Haha Gaofar, depends if Dennis has any appointments on Saturday. I would be up if Lass comes, because I want to see her cow. But going to JB is a little iffy for me, prefer just hanging around the dam for a bit since I never been there before, and the modsters have a BBQ there on the 26th/27th. Still I guess I will just go with anything you guys suggest, and see how first. :smile:

 

PS: North/central riders are always there and I am keen on meeting them...with my LEDs. Rawr.

But good program-sheet by the "as-usual-bro-tt6389"! Or perhaps you guys can carry on with tt6389's idea and I'll still be able to meet you guys at the Dam at the later part? Wah seh, program-sheet seems gonna be complicated liao sia!... But think never mind lah, consider it a part 1 and part 2 of the program lah! Hahaha!... :sweat:

Will wait till Friday nite to see the response to the "Esplanade Firework- JB petrol & supper - Yishun Dam" trip. But don't mind popping over at the dam even if nobody interested in the trip.

 

I wondering OK to sit on my bike at Viaduct over the Esplanade for just 15min to watch the firework. I can stop the bike very close to the kerb - if TP comes, just move off only.

 

Not sure if thats the best & most convenient location to admire the firework. :cheeky:

I don't think you'll be the only who's gonna stop by the side of the viaduct to view the fireworks... Though I'm quite sure TP's gonna have a field-day trying to shoo people away as well...

 

Personally I think the best would be by the Benjamin Sheares Bridge there to view... Fews NDPs ago would also see me illegaly stop by the side to see the fireworks with my wife... :cheeky:

I need this itinerary for Saturday to be drawn up fast, since I should get confirmation for what time we are meeting and where before I get caught up with any other things, though if you guys are meeting first at night I will be pretty much fine. Are we going with the original plan drawn by Gaofar or with the revised one by Tim?

I seeing the firework at 9pm at Benjamin Sheare Bridge. Going to the Dam at 12midnite for sure.

 

I think the "Dam" part is confirmed liao. Gaofar, K3, Panther...who else?

 

If anyone interested to go JB between 9pm to 12midnite - can leave a note here. If not, I'll go JB for supper & petrol after the Dam Meeting at 12.

Those who wanna "party early" can join bro tt6389 first for a "round-trip to JB" after the fireworks at the Esplanade, before coming to the Dam for the "Big Bol'Dor Bang" meetup... Those who can't make it at such early time (like me...) can also join in at a later time at 12am midnight... :smile:

Esplanade bridge looks like closer to firework but heavier traffic - you intend to stop the bike on the road kerb & watch? Or park on nearby road pavement somewhere & walk there? Maybe there's lots of pavement space nearby to park the bike, I dunno.:confused:
