Typically, the procedure to replace brake pads are quite identical for all bikes but different caliper may have its own way of securing the pads.

If you can't find a friend who is proficient and familiar with your brake system, I would advise you go to a reputable shop, and witness how it is done before attempting it on your own.

changing brake pad is easy. but of cuzz, u need all specifit tools to operte dis process. i m riding a k5, and i have self changed my own brake pad. when 1st got bike, i went to bike shop to change e brake pad, which cost mi $25 jz for e rear brake pad. but if u DIY, save up to $10 for ur pocket.but of cuz, base on wat brand of brake pad u r using.

if u r talking abt changing a rear braake pad,

1) jz simply unscrew e allen screw out which support ur brake pad to e caliper.( some bike model require 2 allen sscrew, some oly 1 screw)

2) withdraw out e screw n pull out ur old pad. (dis may b a lil hard, pls b patient abit)

3) Once u have taken out e old pad,( u may wanna do a lil cleaning for ur caliper n wipe away e residue left behind by e brake pad, optional)

4)b4 u install e new pad, pls push backward e piston inside e caliper gently, dis is to get ready for e new pad as e thickness is thicker dan e old one.

5) Time to install back e new brake pad. (for mi, i will use a file to file away e 1st layer of e new pad, to make it more effect when braking)

6) 1st, when u put back e brake pad, make sure e pad is facing each other when installing into e caliper, and e pad muz b position nicely in between e brake dics, and dan follow by e allen screw.

7) make sure all screw r tighten b4 riding.

*things to note* pls do not apply any force to e brake level or padal cuz e piston inside e caliper will cramped up.
