Hi all

Anyone know what is the guidelines for lorry carrying sand or any powdery particles? I hate following such vehicles because the sand that flew off the lorry is very dangerous as it makes the road slippery and also affects my eyes. Most of them hardly cover it well (the best I see so far is the top is slightly open. But it is not enough to stop small quantity of sand coming out due to wind).

Even if the flap is totally close, the particle which they carry will still fly out from their lorry..

For me i will accelerate and go infront of the lorry. I don't quite like riding beside a heavy vehicle cos i cannot see in front and also dangerous.

i only know that failing to secure one's goods and have them fall off the vehicle is an offence. It is stated in the basic thoery book.

But whether sand is considered goods that i dun know??

totally agree with u here...if following behind large vehicle i usually maintain low throttling...u simply cant see wad's happening in front of them...e most u can do is ride slightly to the right of the vehicle...

then wait for chance to overtake..dun stay too long behind them..

if sand not so bad..wear glasses or FF helmet still wont harm u so much...wad if small rocks starting falling? better siam...
