After 4 days of not riding...I finally went to check up on my bike.

Had a hard time starting up the bike, but that's not the problem.

I finally heard the dreaded clicking noise on cold start, need to change cam chain tensioner.

my friend just went for inspection recently and he passed inspection on his 6th attempt. And only did he pass on the 6th by letting his bike shop bring his bike for inspection. The rest of the 5 times he went by his own, all fail. lol

he nvr do any stuff but he changed a super bright white headlight after he passed his inspection.. he told me he failed cos of white smoke from his tzm. cos 2 stroke bike running on 2t will have white smoke so it's normal.. and what i heard from my mechanic was that sg allow 2strokers to be imported so that they could catch them for white smoke (i'm not sure, but most say it's true).. but alot ppl say just let the bike shop handle yr inspection sure pass one.. even my mech told me this.. lol.. just my 2cents

KR sure got alot of white smoke. if no white smoke in the morning then your bike got problem already.anyway my bike also got alot of white smoke. just ram your throttle in the morning so that most of the white smoke would be gone. in the inspection centre they would insert the machine inside your exhaust. way inside to collect the soot. if it is the legal amount then only they can pass you.

 

as for white headlight i am not sure. it is better to post at the krr thread to clarify this. but i know that the machine is the one testing the headlight. if it fails you, then no choice.

send to shop sure can pass. but very expensive leh. it is worth if you have illegal mod. but just for white smoke send to shop also not worth. can always ask the mechanic to temporarily change the setting to a lower one just for the sake of inspection.

2 strokers run on 2T oil, which produces the white smoke. No white smoke = got problem soon or out of 2T.. it's normal for our sportsbike to have white smoke..

I worry most about my front number plate...scared will fail because of that. My front number plate never secured with screws, just double side tape sticking it to my bike.

just go to the one closest to your place. when they send the inspection letter there would be the address of all the inspection centres printed behind at the appendix. front plate not much problem as long as it is big enough and see. main thing is white smoke and brakes also. but since yours in 4 stroke the smoke not as much as 2 stroke bikes.
